edited October 2014 in Not Sports Related
I know I get a lot of stick on here (And rightly so, I am one argumentative so and so) but if anyone would like to help a good cause, here is my Movember page any donation would be gratefully appreciated, and on that page I will do daily picture updates as well (I wold post my picture from last year but its likely to put you off your dinner, not a pretty sight).

  • Nice one Paulie. Good luck to you.

I'm doing the Movember 5k in Battersea park instead of growing at tache. It's not that I have anything against growing one, I just don't want to look like a massive peodophile.

The reason I dont want to put that picture up here is everyone says the same about me
  • Good luck Paulie.

Although it is a monkey tail or nothing!

  • I see the women in Erith have started Movember early.

Thats just the local look, and people ask me why I look further afield for a woman!!

  • Nice job Paulie .. Blowing my own trumpet (If I don't no other f***er will) I do quite a lot of voluntary work for various cancer charities (I am a cancer survivor/sufferer myself) and also contribute funds so I will not be giving your scheme any dosh .. But all the very best, and many thanks for getting involved in an extremely necessary and worthwhile cause

Actually thinking about going for a Brendan Brady
  • Anybody doing it this year?
  • I appreciate that it is for charity but I really don't like this penchant for beards nowdays. Every bloody footballer seems yo have one & imo they look scruffy & just plain weird. Also looks unnatural - a 23 year old with a beard that wouldn't look out of place on Tom Hanks in Castaway.

Maybe its just that I've been in a job for 30 years where I meet the public or clients on a daily basis & was brought up with the notion that you should look smart - which I take to be clean shaven.

No doubt your generation was looked at the same by elders, although everyone looks smart in black and white photos ;)

Beards is decembeard... Movember should just be porno taches really

Plus beards probably look the most natural they could, it's shaving that is unnatural.
  • I'm in. Always wanted to grow a tache.
  • Where I used to work we were encouraged to grow and get sponsored. The ladies used to buy fake taches and it was a fun month, so No problems at work. But at home I did get quite a few choice comments from the wife and kids though. So last year having changed jobs I skipped it.
This year buggar it, bring on the “Village people” comments kids and the “Middle aged Magnum Wannabe” baby, the tache is coming back.
Here’s to Mowvember, and just remember ladies Fanuary is just around the corner.
