Keegan himself I have no problem with. He's brutally honest as when he admitted he wasnt up to the Engalnd job. He's a amsuing guy and will at least liven up the post match interviews. It's the hysteria that comes with him I don't get.

When he left Man City did the football world mourn? Were Man City everyone's second club cos they played such great football? Did he win them the league or cup.

He walked out on Newcastle after spending £60m - a huge amount now but even more then - and not winning a thing. Never worked out that you need organisation, tactics and a defence as well as "passion".

Mike Ashley makes money selling replica shirts and he's just sold another few thousand with King Kev on the back. What next? SIgn David Beckham to sell some more shirts. Good idea. Too old for the Prem league now but will keep the club in the headlines and shift some shirts.

It wasn't so much the budget airlines as a whole. He found it infuriating that they were more expensive the later you book as they're hardly budget. he said because of his job, he has to fly places last minute, and thats when the flights are really expensive, so he's sitting next to someone who bought their ticket 5 years ago for a penny, he bought his 5 mins ago for £500.

he has a good point there.

The problem I have with this thread is that people are whinging about stuff that doesn't do them any harm.
My take on life is that people should be able to do what they want as long as it doesn't do any harm to others.
Smoking does harm others and you can not give pubs the choice as that would be discrimination in the workplace.

Frankly it is better to worry / discuss matters that actually matter. For starters on the subject of The Labour Party there were far more bigger and important lies told than that to people who force others to breath their smoke.

JM, you challenged golfie over the question of democracy, I answered the question, the correct response is "Thanks for putting me right", not going into another area to support your particular bug-bear.

I have no idea what the "discrimination in the workplace" bit is all about, and why on earth shouldn't I put accross the argument that you are not forced to go in the pub? It's true, so why not use it? Cars harm people through emmissions and by running people over, so I take it they should be banned too, going by your logic?

People who say speed cameras are just there to raise revenue.
10 people a week are killed by motorists in this country.

If you don't break the speed limit, not only are you less likely to kill or maim others, you don't get fined either.

People who drive massive 4x4's and never leave London.

Dangerous/drink driving, not fast driving is the killer. Speed cameras don't yet have the facility to carry out a breath test on dangerous/drunk drivers

I agree but the less patrol cars people see the more likely they are to chance their arm at the more exciting* road skills like driving whilst pissed and to attempt rally crossing.
