A list was posted in the club prog back in 2007, will try and dig it outthai malaysia addick said:I've always wondered, @Henry Irving, is there a record of players who have been on the bench but never got on the pitch?

At the current rate, Valiant 1000 will probably make his debut in about 12 years' time. Which, if he's around 18 at the time, means he's about 6 now.
I wonder if he's on Charlton's radar already. Or if Johnnie Jackson's going to unearth him at his Academy. Or, if he's ever been to England...2 -

V780 Jóhann Berg GUÐMUNDSSON v Brentford, 09/08/2014
V781 Yoni BUYENS v Brentford, 09/08/2014
V782 Igor VETOKELE v Brentford, 09/08/2014
V783 George Marius ȚUCUDEAN v Brentford, 09/08/2014
V784 Franck Nyinzapa MOUSSA (sub) v Brentford, 09/08/2014
V785 Joe GOMEZ v Colchester Utd, 12/08/2014
Thanks for this Stig.
Not that far from the Valiant 800.
Would love to update the Valiant 500 but Colin's family still have all the records and at this time don't wish to release them.
One other note Igor becomes the 76th player to score on his debut and the first Angolan to represent the club.
I believe Tucadean is the first Romanian & Ben Haim the first Israeli
Buyins and Moussa are, perhaps surprisingly, our first two Belgians.
Gudmonsen is the third Icelander. Can you name the other two?

Good question. Everyone will say Herman within seconds but I imagine many will struggle with the other (more recent) nameHenry Irving said:Stig said:V777 Stephen HENDERSON v Brentford, 09/08/2014

From the OS today (29/7/14 "Johann Berg Gudmundsson, Igor Vetokele and Tal Ben Haim will be hoping to become the 61st, 62nd and 63rd international Addicks as they face qualifying clashes for their respective countries. And just an outside chance that Rhoys Wiggins could be another, as he's on standby for Wales.

Have the club considered issuing Heritage numbers for every player? Something a bit different in football, though the England Cricket team use them as do the Warrington Wolves Rugby League side.2

I don't know if they have but I think it is a great idea.shirty5 said:Have the club considered issuing Heritage numbers for every player? Something a bit different in football, though the England Cricket team use them as do the Warrington Wolves Rugby League side.

Frederick Bulot became the 61st Charlton Full International when he played the first 24 minutes for Gabon v Angola
Igor Vetokele was the 62nd when he came on later in the same game for the away side.
Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson is likely to be international 63 as Iceland play tomorrow (Tuesday 9 Sept).
Tel Ben Haim is away on international duty but I can't find any games listed for Israel for this international break.0 -

Freddy Bulot became V786 tonight (16/9/14) v Wolves. Welcome.
Perhaps the first Addick capped for his country before making his Charlton debut0 - Sponsored links:

I don't know about any other players, but Karim Bagheri got four caps between signing for Charlton and making his very short debut at Ipswich. Iran played against Lebanon, Thailand, Iraq and South Korea in the Asia Cup. Bagheri played in all four matches, scoring against Lebanon and South Korea.0

Ben Odeje I think Shirty, not Sodje
Of those on that list who never played league football for anybody, he must surely be the only one with a Wiki entry
