Agree with this. Surprise team could be England with them reaching the quarters!

I am coming more towards the thinking that with Hodgson at the helm, England could make the quarters. I can now see them beating a poor Italian side. Too many better teams for them to have much chance of winning it though.

England to gallantly fail in the semis

i think so, now that expectations have been lowered, england will build them all back up only to dash them and keep them raised for the next 20 years again.

I reckon only one European team will make the Semis (England.. Germany or Spain) whilst the other three will be Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay

Got a feeling Holland will crash out in the Groups or 2nd Round (following a poor Euro 2012) whilst Italy will also fail to get out the Group (as Suarez should return for that match)

Surprise package... Bosnia.. they're not in a difficult group with Argentina, Iran and Nigeria and reckon they could make the Quarters

There have only been four WCs in S. America. Agree it will be extremely hard for a European team to win it but this is not a massive sample and the Dutch would have won it '78 had Rob Rensenbrink not hit the post in injury time.

Having said that, opting for Argentina and despite having a potentially tough run in have had an interest in Uruguay @ 33/1.

I think Uruguay are massively over-rated. I agree the conditions will suit, but they struggled through qualification and their defence is poor.

Cavani hasn't had a great season, albeit 25 goals in all comps is still good but not great for PSG, Forlan has seen his best years and Suarez isn't going to be 100% fit.

I hope we go there and really have a go at them. Roy needs to line up attacking instead of 11 behind the ball like we saw against Italy in 2012.
