Thanks for mentioning the CoveredEnd. I had never seen it before and watched last night. Very good.
  • Big Ead comes off well in the film. Giles and Bremner were fuming in the press though cause they get right mugged off.

BC my favorite manager non CAFC. You look back at some of his views and he was outrageous. Seen he was mentioned as having a great character. He certainly had lots of character but was it of great quality? Again its a bit harsh judging him in 2014 for viewpoints he had in the 80s.

Sheen is a brilliant character actor. Havent seen anything from him new lately though

    You sure about Bremner?

Billy Bremner had been dead nearly 10 years when the book was published let alone the film.
  • Lol must of been the families then. ..i remember reading something at the time saying je wasnt the nasty, cheating and mouthy player he is portrayed as?

Way before my time but I get the impression the film got it right in that regard

I think it was Bremner's family that complained - but could do nothing - but Giles sued the films makers.
  • Thanks Ormy. I knew I remembered something but @SheffieldRed‌ got me a good un there :)

Found this on the Giles legal action

Nope he was just the captain of the nasty cheating mouthy Leeds Utd. Pure coincidence!
