About a dozen that I know well, from Shrewsbury, Great Yarmouth, Cardiff, Copenhagen, Fleet, Welling, Halifax, Bury, Haywood, Hamilton, Biggleswade and Croydon. Probably a lot more if I really sat down and thought hard about it.cafcfan1990 said:

All the big boys go out and spend a lot of players yes. But Chelski and City have kind of gone to another level and their fans aren't great.
I have a lot of time for Liverpool fans, mostly proper Football fans who support their local team.
Yes a lot of them live in the past but that's because they were spoilt in the 80's and havent done much since.
Except that all the Liverpool fans I know come from miles away (apart from two) and they have won nine major trophies since the eighties. ;-)

I think feeling hard done by because your team has only won nine trophies but not the league title is a tad self indulgent...2 -
hope City win, I cannot stand Liverpool fans, always the victims, never stop going on about the Heysel disaster, get over it.1

The idea that Liverpool haven't spent money is a nonsense. Remember when the owner during Benitez's reign said money was no object. The difference between Liverpool and Chelsea/Man Utd/Man City is that they overspent on useless players (e.g. Carroll) and weren't able to attract any quality to their club due to their lack of ambition beyond finishing 4th every season. Dyed in the red players like Gerrard might stick with them but Suarez was wanting away and Torres left for greener pastures.1

I am not doubting Liverpool have glory hunting fans from their good old days. As there are many Man Utd glory hunters. Chelski fans starting coming out of the woodwork when I was at school and no doubt City fans will be in the future. These things take time but soon there will be many City fans from London because of success. Its inevitable so I thought singling out one teams fans in unfair.
The reason I don't mind Liverpool is because of the true genuine fans. I'm not talking about the ones from Welling or Croydon, but the season ticket holders who go every week.
This season I have been to Liverpool and City games and the difference in atmospheres is vast. I also like Gerrard and would like for him to have won the title as I feel he deserves it.
As for the 200k+ Toure, Aguero and Silva, I dont care about.

Im actually a big fan of the way Liverpool have achieved success this season with homegrown players, not overspending, great style of football (also applies to man city) and a British manager.
Dont know where all the Man City love comes from tbh. I dont particularly like Arsenal, find Chelsea irritating, but Man City just make me feel indifferent.0 -

Homegrown players? Only Gerrard and Flanagan are home grown among their regular first teamers.

Man city fans are great lads proper fans that can not be aimed at them had some good boozes with them at England games0

but Rodgers gives a chance to a lot of young English/British players. Yeah only 2 homegrown players but how many did City have last night?Algarveaddick said:

Just 2 Englishman in the starting 11 and 2 more on the bench. Liverpool had 6 Brits starting on Monday night.0 -

No I wouldn't to be honest KHA - they poached him from QPR in 2010, he's not one of their own. Homegrown players are the ones they brought through their system, not snatched from elsewhere or signed from Sunderland or Chelsea.kings hill addick said:

It's all a bit of a red herring anyway, if they get the opportunity to sign a top drawer non-Brit who is better than a British player in that position, they will without batting an eyelid. They happen to have one or two decent British players at the moment, it's no honourable crusade to do the decent thing by them. None of the top clubs is any better than any of the others. But I just can't stand Liverpool and their gloryhunting supporters.
ABL!

I think perhaps your case you seem to know some so I can understand your opinion. But surely you must know Manure glory hunting supporters.Algarveaddick said:

Given time, Chelski and City will be the same. As I said, at school a few years back Chelsea fans came crawling out. It happens, its inevitable so I don't think singling out glory hunting Liverpool fans is fair.
That is why I don't have much time for any of the big clubs, perhaps Arsenal being my fav.

But also no doubting they have been the best supported club in all but 6 of the last 50 years. This includes a 26 year title drought.0 -
I do know some Manure glory hunters, but fewer than Liverpool. Likewise Chelsea, Citeh and Arsenal. I, like you, have little time for any club that draws considerable "support" from outside it's natural catchment area. But given that the most I know are Liverpool, they top my particular pile of disliked clubs (followed by Arsenal, Man Utd and then Chelsea, FYI) . :-)cafcfan1990 said:
