Warrior dieing along with his promo on Raw is chilling, it's almost as if he knew this was about to happen. So strange.

Used to watch in early 90's so RIP Ulitmate Warrior.

what I dont understand is how you are allowed to bet on something that is already scripted.
How could that guy be 10-1 before the event when the result is known in advance?

Because nobody knows the outcome apart from those wrestling the match and a very small handful of others. The fact that so many would have bet on The Undertaker to win shows how good a job they do of not letting these things get out.

Its not much different from people betting on what a baby's name is going to be, or how a TV show will end etc.

Its only known by a select few, fans have as much knowledge as any sport game.

Though obviously there's limits on betting so the select few can't bet huge amounts knowing the results.

Regardless of how few fans know the outcome, betting on wrestling is probably the most ridiculous thing I've heard of!!

Apparently some Brit lost £30k on betting on The Undertaker to win!

I've got to be missing something here... The whole thing is scripted from start to finish, so why are you guys talking like there were different possible outcomes? I'm not being facetious, I know you're adults... So what am I missing?

Imagine people are talking about the ending of a TV show, say the last Sopranos, well that's exactly what is happening here.
I think you might be stretching with a Sopranos comparison, but I take your point. I guess the difference is, you don't have to wonder which Sopranos fans think they're watching a documentary.

Not at all, both are scripted dramas, just one is written a bit better than the other!

I'm not too sure what your next point is, but guessing it's the predictable. WWE don't care if some of their fans think it's real, as I said earlier they openly admit to it not being and have done for 30 years. If they did care, what different would it make? Also they try and make sopranos as realistic as possible.

Considering Paddy Power offer odds on "Who killed lucy beale" in eastenders...Thats only paddy power though!

Also in the 80s you could bet on who shot JR, in Dallas not WWE. Ludicrous!

I have Swerved it for long enough. In the past I have created diversions like trips to theme parks or new football boots.

But tomorrow the darkest of days finally catches up with me. ;-(

I am off to the O2 to see the fine spectacle that is the WWE

You'll love it, take it for what it is, entertainment, don't take it too seriously and you'll enjoy it, it's a great show.
