QPR at home on Saturday week. There are a few weaknesses to exploit.
Centre Backs Dunne and Hill lack pace and are vulnerable against quick runs onto early balls in behind. B4 can be caught square.
Hughes has struggled at RB v Jamie Ward. He lacks pace as well and can be exposed 1v1 on the outside. A
Assou-Ekotto gets forward in advance of the ball in build-up play. When QPR lose the ball, there is space to counter-attack into and pull Hill wide. Hill struggles on the ground when isolated.
QPR like a short passing build-up through midfield. They won't be able to do that on the Valley Marshes. When they play long, Doyle and Johnson lack height and strength in aerial duels. Derby have soaked up anything played long and QPRs build up play has broken down.
It will be interesting to see if Redknapp changes it at half-time.6 -

Miaga gives QPR some hold up play in the front line. Hoylett for O'Neill adds more pace and dynamism on the right. Still 4-4-2.0

Not watching the game, so don't know if this is the case, but it can make sense if two of the three forwards for Derby are wingers. By forwards I just mean the last number in the formation. Reading this back, probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but I think I know what Tutt-Tutt means.Covered End said:

Yeah it's not too far removed from a 4-5-1, only the wide men are higher up the pitch.1

QPR are obviously beatable. They are a strong team over the ninety minutes and will be difficult to match man for man.
Their Back Four has a few weaknesses and their midfield loses its discipline when denied possession. The key is being able to put them under pressure, turn the centre backs, attack the right back area, and stop them playing through midfield. AssouEkotto was their best player at Loftus Road, when he was allowed to push forward and launch attacks from the left back area. We should have learnt from that.

Yeah. It's 4-3-3 to 4-5-1 really. The system is flexible. I thought CP did a job on it earlier in the season. We were doing well and they were having real trouble trying to play through midfield. They had just started to play long balls in frustration, when a deflected shot changed the game. Redknapp made no consideration on how Derby set up and how they play. He went in with 2 v 3 in Central Midfield and his pair weren't good enough to overcome the extra man.0
