Would like to see us go back to 3-5-2. fits the players we have and can give us the extra man in midfield to tighten up in this important game.

So what's your line up then Dan the man, let's have it I'm in the mood :0)

Not bad, but CP has yet to start that way this season, so I reckon he will go 451 keep it tight until half time, take a point at least but three if we can nick one second half as follows, bearing in mind Church played the first 45 on Saturday wide right
    Alnwick
    Wilson Morro Wood Ceddy/Lennon/Fox
    Church Stephens Cousins JJ Harriott/Astrit
    Yann
Should be enough to get something from the game

If he's fit, I could see Solly playing at left back and Wilson at right back.
  • We'll get 0 or 1, they'll get 0 or 1

I suppose your more than likely to be right, just feel we would be better suited to go the other way on Tues, I guess we will see soon enough.

Just don't lose lads. And if Alnwick is dropped it will be a travesty plus shoot his confidence to bits.

  • Just pray to god this game lasts the full 90 minutes and is not called off in the mean time, otherwise i would have driven for 9 hours for nothing.Having said that this game is A 6 POINTER make no mistake about it,while we try to gain at least a point Millwall and Sheff Wed play at The New Den .This half of the season is going to be an interesting one and the next 6 matches in this division will decide in which league we will be playing in next season.
    Coming up over the next month Charlton v Birmingham,Charlton v Barnsley.Sheff Wed vBarnsley,Yeovil v Millwall.Doncaster v Barnsley,Millwall v Bolton,Barnsley v Millwall and Yeovil v Doncaster all before we play Barnsley at home.
Something has too give, look forward to the ride and trust Charlton can come out on top of this little lot of teams.

This. I'll be amazed if it's as tight at the bottom by the time we play Barnsley as it is now unless other teams (Blackpool, Bournemouth) get dragged into it.

    0 - 1. Kermorgant 90+2.

0-2 to CP's Red and White Army
  • If he's fit, I could see Solly playing at left back and Wilson at right back.

No chance that Solly will be fit for at least another month; he's only just had further surgery on his knee.

I'm afraid after Millwall away when we lost 4-0 and also early last season when Wiggy was first injured,I wouldn't want to see Chris played on the left again. He got murdered that day and offered nothing going forward which is a vital part of his game,we really miss him at the moment as a right back and if fit that is where he needs to play.

He was a lot younger and more inexperienced then. There's no doubt he's improved and has actually played on the left a few times since. The entire team got murdered that day.

Solly did well at left back last season, he's comfortable playing there if needed. Sounds like he's out for another month at least though from what a few have been saying?

Maybe I didn't express myself very well. I used the Millwall game as an example of where playing him out of position didn't work.I accept he is a much better player now.

In terms of last season the problem for me was that we missed him as a right back and when he was switched to the left it unbalanced the team as he didn't look as effective going forward. My point about tomorrow is it would be far better to use a left footer like Fox or even Lennon or Wood than play a right back out of position.

Last thing we need is another postponement. We still have to re-arrange Leeds and Bournemouth games. If we go through the cup then that'll be another re-arranged fixture.

Park the bus-keep it tight and hit em on the break with a last minute winner...well, that's what I'm hoping for

Weird one. Didn't think much of them in the rearranged fixture but easily found themselves on top in the one that's been wiped from the record books forever. Tough to call. 1-0 Charlton and we take Huddersfield's unbeaten in Yorkshire tag. Won their last home game 3-0 v Wigan but got absolutely battered by Blackpool on Saturday by all accounts.

I wonder if Evina is not fit he will play 3-5-2 with Harriot as the left wing back.Cant comment on how good he is defensively because I haven't seen him play a lot this season.

Harriott tracks back more than any other winger of recent years Wagstaff and Wilson (whom I don't really regard as a winger) excepted.

Could work if he is up for the responsibility.

Harriott does track back well but he's more of a 'harrier' than a real defender .. his tackling is not up to the job, he'd give away a lot of free kicks .. and also, please forget : 3 5 2, 3 4 1 2 , 5 2 2 1 or any other daft formations .. 4 4 2 or at worst 4 4 1 1 is how we play best

Did I not read that SCP said Solly would not be available before the Wigan game
