Cameron Stewart to Leeds (to Ipswich)

They lost 6-0. Their whole team looked out of their depth and offered nothing.0

Leeds are a bit of a 1 player team. If you stop McCormack from playing, Leeds struggle. It shows that with a bit of quality, a Championship team can make the play offs. Charlton are not that far off.1

at least he got a game today .. although the Hillsborough pitch looked a bit the worse for wear .. the UK rainfall is getting too biblical for my liking .. biblical as in Noah0
-
well there were lots of other fans saying we were really unlucky against Leeds because Mccormack really needed to perform to keep his international place just before the international break.vff said:Leeds are a bit of a 1 player team. Leeds had a player sent off, so with Stewart strolling around too I guess they were down to 9 players! Not surprised they were stuffed.0

Looks like a bad move for him :-)1

Seen a few comments on twitter today from Leeds fans wondering if they can cancel his deal to sign permanently in the summer lol
I think his stats for today was 5 passes(the least in there squad) 2 accurate0 -

Ouch.0

That'll do his confidence a world of good. I still wouldn't want him back here.0

Well, I doubt it's anything to do with Stewart's footballing ability.
IMO that leaves 2 other questions;
1) Is his proposed contract going to be outside of Leeds' FFP structure?
2) Have his performances been ineffective and attitude suspect that he is considered poor value for the money?

Id take him back on a free if his wages were low enough. We need more than one winger anyway1
-
I'd take him back in a flash! Exactly what we need he did it for us this year! Adds that special something out wide!0
-
IMO he is a luxury and we cant afford that, he has 1 or two moments in a game then goes missing for 3/4 games0
-
Hughesy will make Cellino see sense.2

There is a strong rumour (always a strong rumour in my opinion when I hear it from other clubs fans but not our own) that apparently we are leading the race to snap Cameron back up!
By the sounds of it though Cameron doesn't pull his weight in training (for Leeds), so not a Peeters style signing if A.A wasn't doing enough to be signed again.0 -
Between us and Ipswich apparently.0
-
They're welcome to him, we'll have the mighty Ivan Trickovski instead0
-
I'd rather have him than Obika.3
-
Think he would be a good addition. Gives us options and pace.2

He's a decent wide man, especially for this league, and he has the ability to do something special. Don't know why people would be against this.4
-
Please no, a luxury player that we dont need, we need someone who will be consistent, not a player who has 1 great game then dissappears for 5/6 games0
-
We just need players at the minute, luxury or not, and hes a half decent one.1
-
Because apart from scoring some good goals he can't beat a man and contributes little - that would be why I am against it. Too lightweight - was pleased when he left.0
-
Is he though? A decent wide man should get his fair share of goals and assists. He'll get a few, but would it be often enough?Croydon said:He's a decent wide man, especially for this league, and he has the ability to do something special. Don't know why people would be against this.

I think he is being overrated here, but I also think Harriott's dip in form coincided with not having another 1/2 decent LM to compete with.

I'd have him here as an option off the bench but would prefer someone with a bit more consistency as first choice to be honest. The problem with players like Stewart is when on form he can take the other team apart - but when out of form you're near enough playing with 10 men. Good impact sub but not first 11 material for me.1
-
Depends how he would be deployed, playing him as an 'inverted' winger on the left used to drive me mad with his inability to cross on the run with his left foot having to cut back onto his right foot or shoot from distance. Mind you he did score a couple of screamers but too little to affect games that mattered from what I can remember.1
-
I'd have him back in a heartbeat, think he's as good - if not better - than anything else we have out wide5
-
Like to see him on a decent pitch
Most of his best work came in away games, not got a game suited to a mudbath.
Give him a chance, he kicks on with his workrate then we have a potential dangerman at this level....worries the bejesus out of defenders because he can go off either foot effectively when 1 on 1
There is a real real player in there...i just dont think he is hungry enough
Would suit a modest basic wage but structured around decent bonuses for week in, week out games in a winning side
He gets focussed he has 15 goals and 20 assists a season in him.0
