Just got an email from the Club advertising tickets for the match which says:sm said:Do we know if Roland D is attending - perhaps we will prefer watching his other team playing Borussia Dortmund in the warmth of La Manga?

For some reason I'm feeling pretty confident. Expecting it to be a rubbish, tight game but I think the comings and going will be like a breath of fresh air to the team and supporters resulting in us picking up a win.
Someone reassure me that the game is not in any danger though please?!!0 -
Going tomorrow. Despite the pitch and the various trials and tribulations I fancy a win. COYR0

This has got 11-0 written all over it, as all of our players bag a goal each in hopes of getting a new contract.0
-
I was feeling very positive after the Ipswich draw but now losing Stewart and not a lot else happening I am not so sure. We always seem to struggle at home to Barnsley and I think tomorrow will see more of the same. 1-0 to the Tykes and frustrated calls for Roland to show us the money.0

Team far easier to predict than the result:
Alnwick
Solly
Wiggins
Morrison
Wood
Wilson
Cousin
Stephens
Jackson
Kermorgant
Church
I'll go 2-1 us.0 -
I would drop Jacko to the bench for Devitte and play 3 at the back.mid_life_crisis said:Team far easier to predict than the result:

With Solly and Wiggins fit and firing, I fancy us to win 3-00

I think (or is it hope?) Barnsley are playing us at the wrong time for them. Our management and team fired up by the takeover and all it promises will be an unstoppable force (maybe).0
-
I just hope all the stuff thats been going on , off the pitch can be shoved to one side, and not be used as an excuse , this is a must win game if ever there was one, COYR!!0

The BBC Sport website say that Wilson has a hamstring problem.
I'll go for 2-10 -
He was subbed at Ipswich with a hammy problem.flyingkiwiDK said:The BBC Sport website say that Wilson has a hamstring problem.

Any news on the dome/pitch - has it done the job?0

If Wilson is injured, I'd go with Harriot. Could be a good game for him. JJ to start in place of Stewart. Not a bad side IMO.0

Don't see this as a must win more a must not lose to maintain the status quo until improvements can been brought in.
Notwithstanding the above I think we will win 2-1 with all things Charlton happy and everyone looking to a brighter future.1 -
It will be interesting to see the condition of the pitch and whether the new loan player is on the bench. Beautiful sunny day great for football. Should be a good atmosphere.
Good to show Duchalet (or representative, Katrien) a welcome and that Chris Powell should be given a chance / backing with some signings.0 -
I loved the way Jackson left those two defenders for dead with that feint. The man's a class act.plentyofshots said:What with the 6-0 and all, there's a few too many goals against Barnsley on the site to post here.
Here's Church's great finish back towards the start of the season --> http://plentyofshots.wordpress.com/2014/01/09/simon-church-goal-vs-barnsley/
My favourite goal of the 6-0 --> http://plentyofshots.wordpress.com/2013/04/13/johnnie-jackson-goal-vs-barnsley/
The rest of the 6-0 goals are on the site if anyone wishes to watch them all. A great day!
Fingers crossed we start the RD era off well on Saturday.
Tight, but I think we'll shade it.

I hope Lawrie Wilson is fit, as he gives us good balance down the right and high energy levels, which will be particularly important on a pudding of a pitch. I'd also like to see Harriott in instead of Jacko in order to give us some pace and penetration down the flanks. As we all know from bitter experience, pumping high balls down the middle tends not to trouble the opposition.
If we can win this one, we'll put clear blue water (ie. 10 points) between us and Barnsley - as well as, potentially, Yeovil, who are at home to Burnley. Although they've drawn the last two away, Barnsley's very poor record overall gives us cause for optimism, so fingers crossed.0 -
Am I right in saying Butland is their goalie?
