  • Top man honest really decent pro. So is his new manager. Good luck
  • Would have given Taylor another year contract to be honest. Good centre half. Bradford have bagged themselves a good player. All the best Matt

Matt would have got another year, but wanted First team football, which Powell could not guarantee. Good luck with the bantams.

Matt was one of the group of players that gave Charlton their pride back.

    This.

Was sad to see him released, need players like him at Charlton. Whether Wood's a better (apart from presumably cheaper) replacement, it remains to be seen.
I doubt Wood will be cheaper

Good luck Matt, you'll do an excellent job for Parky. A good communicator, I can see him organising the back 4.

Matt is a good friend of a contact of mine in Manchester. When he heard I was a Charlton fan he went to the trouble of getting me a signed Charlton shirt of all the players in our Division 1 title winning side. That is now framed and has pride of place on my hall wall. Genuine bloke who I hope does really well up there.

If only all players had the attitude, character and commitment that Matt Taylor showed.

    Good luck, Matt.
