As horse racing is the sport of kings, then the child should be named after the winning horse nearest to the time of birth. For example if the child had been born today at ten to three it could be called 'Rock Choir' Winsor (Newbury), or if born, say at 5.30pm it could be called 'Cono Zur' Windsor (Haydock).
Takes the awful decision making responsibility out of the equation, everyone's a winner.

Isn't Louis a bit, well, French for a future British monarch?

I want them to be a "first" of something. Not a Henry/George/Victoria/Mary

My youngest grandson's name .....and he's not French.

Might lead to better relations with " them across the Channel"...

it all looked quite quiet again by the time I walked past. the ladders outside and opposite were in place, but people had stepped off them. I guess it'll be a while. I'll pop round at lunch and see if anything's happening! there are some die hard royalists there, we walked back this way after the cricket, dressed fully in Union jack dresses and flags camping out outside the main entrance to the hospital. I'm not joining them.

The humourist Miles Kington once said herbs and spices would make good boys' names. Dill. Mace. And how about nasty medical conditions for a girl? Rubella. Chlamydia.
  • Some of these reporters have clearly got nothing to say.

"It is believed the next time the couple will be seen in public is when they appear on the steps of the hospital with their baby"

You're kidding me?! You mean we won't get a live webcam from her hospital bed?

They are saving that for when the `spare' arrives.
