    Should have been straight red.
Hunt by name, @unt by nature.

Didnt look that bad to me.

Out of interest, those of you who thought it was a straight red - where do you sit?
  • Straight red but the ref bottled it. He's always been a thug.

Hames shook hands after he got up from the collision so will have to see a replay to decide whether it was dirty or not.

Nevertheless a filthy little man that **** is.

The Wolves commentators certainly felt that Hamer made the most of the incident even calling him a "tart" which I found amusing!

Hunt was never going to beat Hamer to the ball.

He went in late and deliberately. Should have been a straight red and if it had been at in the other goal mouth he would have gone.

    What happened?

Hunt 'challenged' Hamer for a ball he had no chance of getting, went straight into him studs first. Both of them lucky to stay on the pitch, but for different reasons!

If Hamer had stayed donee, Hunt was definitely off. Lucky boy.

I'd need to see it again but by instant reaction was it was a straight red. He was never getting the ball and he went in with studs showing. Think the fact that Hamer didn't milk it probably saved him.

Oh come on, "Hamer" and "not milking it" in the same sentence?!

You can bet they won't show it on the football league show.
  • Weren't they at reading at the same time or is hamer too young.
  • He knew what he was doing Hunt that is

He could never get that ball and I front of the wolves fans he thought he would leave his foot in

Studs up lazy poor footballers challenge cowardly

    Should've been a red

Yes. Hunt was there until the beginning of the 09/10 season (according to football manager). Hamer would have been about 20 when Hunt left, so would've trained together (when Hamer wasn't away on loan).....................

I am reserving judgement on Hunt until I see the highlights but every player does have the right to go for the ball.

I was right in line with it in the North upper and it looked like there was definite movement away from the line of his run to boot Hamer after he gathered the ball.

It's not like he hasn't got any previous....

Well yeah, if he genuinely has a chance of getting there. That's why accidental clashing of heads aren't given as fouls and so on. But although I was a long way away, it looked very much like Hunt wouldn't have got there first if he had legs ten feet longer, and he knew it.
  • You don't have a right to go for the ball if in doing so you are causing a danger to an opposing player.

Looked a very nasty late lunge to do our keeper, straight red was my initial reaction but knew the ref had bottled it as soon as he started to lecture Hunt the *unt.
