Jacko deserves his place he has been superb but solly has also been superb me i voted jacko our player of the year in front of solly and it shows wot other people at other clubs think of our skipper.

I think that JJ will challenge for Player of the Year this time.

I was thinking of voting solly again but without jackos goals & fight, we would have been relegated ages ago
  • I actually think Jacko might take it this year. Out of my relatively small cluster of Charlton associates, all but two have voted Jacko. No prizes for guessing where the other two votes went!

Is jacko the most London of any Londoner playing football? Wasn't he born and brought up in Soho or Covent Garden or somewhere?

Voted for Solly but on second thoughts I think I should have gone for Jackson.

His place of birth on Wikipedia is listed as Covent Garden, which seems bizarre - didn't know anyone lived around there!

His dad is a great chap. Sat next to him a couple of times last season he loves watching his son play it's like he's still a teenager turning out for the first time. Went bananas when the Shef U free kick went in!

I met his Uncle on the way to one of Jacko's early games when he was on loan.

Apparently his Dad could not make the game and they always like to have a member of the family there.

Home birth maybe, or in the back of the cab?
