How many points do we need?

After 1 point in 4 games and given that some of the teams below are winning, how many points do people think we'll need to stay up?
I think another 15, giving us 55, would be sufficient.
On the same note, which teams do people think are going down? I reckon, Bristol City, Peterborough & Birmingham.
cheers

It won't be as many as 55.
53 should be enough, but 54 to be 100% certain.0 -
Anything less than 53 points and a decent goal difference and I will be twitching worse than Redknapp.
So we need 13 points and make sure we don't take a couple of hammerings on the way.
My 3 for the drop are Bristol City, Peterborough and Wolves.0 -
According to our very own Airman Brown in VotV, the highest points total relegated from the Championship is 52 and the average for survival is 48 ish.0

51 points will see us safe.0

52 this season IMO and i think Barnsley, Peterborough & Huddersfield to go down.0

We still have games against Bolton, Huddersfield, Wolves, Barnsley, Bristol and P'boro, all of whom are currently below us. Win even half of them and we're staying up easily I reckon.0

5 more wins to be completely safe i think.
Squeaky bum time if we lose at Barnsley, Peterborough and Huddersfield though.0 -
52 is the highest total to be relegated in recent history. But with the league being the tighest I can ever remember, I'm not sure 53 will be enough. I think we'll be ok, but I'm not 100% confident.
Bottom 3 :- Peterboro, Bristol C & Birmingham.0 -
To be absolutely certain we need 15 points from 14 games.
14 or even 13 could be enough.
A point a game is relegation form over a full season so I would hope that we can achieve at least that over the remaining 14 games.
Survival in this division is a good season.0 -
Barnsley are sneaky sods. They always manage to survive somehow so I'll be surprised if they go down. Bristol City and Peterborough have probably given themselves too much to do. I reckon Hudds need to have a look over their shoulders0
