The Record Shop thread

Given that HMV have now gone to the wall and that many of us, young and old, still like to have a physical copy of a product, can we list out where the independent record shops are?

I haven't used it for ages, because I don't live in the area any more but in Welling there's Cruisin' Records.

Any others?

When I was a lad, I used to buy most of my records from Ajax, next to the Granada cinema on Bellegrove Road.

The Bexleyheath shop ..... was that the one behind the clock tower, Badger?

I hope small record shops make a comeback. There's Intense records in Chelmsofrd that does dance-type vinyl. Never been in there. All the rest closed down shortly after HMV opened. I used to love going in the indpendent shops, hear what was playing, and make a few impulse buys. and get a couple of second hand CDs. Haven't done that for ages. Amazon is OK when you know waht you want, but I don't like browsing so much online.

Feck I used to spend a fortune in Blackmarket, so many must have White Label 12 inch's and at £7 or £8 a pop it wasn't cheap....and to think that was in the mid 90's?!

Also had a Blackmarket Records courier bag....I looked the Shizzle!

There is a brilliant one on the left of Lee High going from Lee to Lewisham just past Kwik Fit. Cant recall the name but the little old Irishman with a cracking comb over is a proper old time dude....i brought 6 singles which he wanted £25 for but he took the £20 i had so he is happy to barter!! I always go there before one of our vinyl night get togethers, fabulous evenings!
