    My absolute favorite sports broadcaster. His commentaries always put me in a grandstand seat. A clever, well read, dedicated man. Cancer claims another gem at the age of 67

    Brilliant guy I saw him many years ago as an after dinner speaker and I can tell you he was very, very funny actually did some pretty spot on impersonations of his TMS colleagues as well. Great commentator and a man of the game loved it when he put old big head Fred Truman down after he remarked that "People who haven't played the game to any level have no right to commentate on it" to which CMJ replied that "On the other hand we don't develop irrational prejudices and opinions that we think are the only ones that count"

    RIP CMJ the cricket season will never be the same again.
