    It's personal choice, if adults wearing football shirts bothers you that much you need to get a life.

    I personally haven't bought a shirt in years, mostly because they're overpriced and usually poor quality.

    Used to buy them all the time up until the Mesh 98/99. Never bothered afterwards until last season (got the red & sky blue ones) simply cos I liked the shirts. Not bought this seasons as I don't like it, but got 2 training tops (red & white). Only tend to wear them in the summer as a personal choice but don't look at others wearing them all year and think "knob". Completely up to them.

    Saying that, I saw a guy a few weeks ago (in his fifties) wearing a West ham shirt with a pair of smart suit-like trousers and shoes and thought "that looks wrong on so many levels".

    I think he should take a running jump. I am 75 and I go with my 19 year old Grandson, both of us proud to wear the colours. Lets see a photo of this sartorial superstar, I will be happy to give you my opinion on how he looks ! By the way at the moment in the Winter I am wearing the Goalies Top because it's warmer. In the Summer I will again be exhibiting my spindly legs in shorts, if he doesn't like that tell him to concentrate on his membership of the Boring Old Farts Club.

    There's a "full kit W*****" works at my Uni, who must be in his 40s. Arsenal fan... gave him a nice wave the day after the Bradford match. Wear what you want... but to work?

    If you are questioning someone for wearing your clubs colours then you probs need to wind it in!

    Usually wear mine for away days, quite proudly an all thankyoo very much!

    Might even get Stephen's & No.8 on the back In jan ;)

    So much aggression here, someone makes a comment and then the vitriol begins.

    I personally rarely wear them, mainly because I think it does look a bit silly and I guess that is what the original comment was about. Not like it bothers me if someone does wear them. I still have a lot of football shirts but mainly as a collection rather than wearing them out in public.

    As for football shirts, it does look sad if you are wearing them on a non-matchday.

    I'll wear shirts on a non match-day (I'm 25), don't really see the big deal. If I'm going down the shops or to the gym, I'm not really bothered what people think of what I'm wearing. I'm hardly going to go out dressed as if I'm about to meet the Queen or take some treacle out on a date am I.
