Good old Alan Pardew got rewarded with an 8 year contract after, lets face it, a pretty damn good season last year. Can anyone else think of any longer managerial contracts dished out in recent- ish football history??
Keegan got given ten years but resigned after 3 at Newcastle but I couldn't find any others..

Not sure why they have done this. If Pardew isn't sacked or leaves within 3-4 years (tops!) I'd be bloody amazed.0

I thought he was put away for 8 years, he should be for his record0

I bet there are break clauses in it. Can't believe Ashley is that stupid. Maybe an 8 year contract with an option to break after 4? Or automatic break if they get relegated or finish below half way even.0
