Palace season ticket holder sits a couple desks down from me. He is saying there is a real air of expectancy around this. Most Nigels think they are due a win.

Whatever the result a few things are nailed on certainties -
* there will be outcry in the local Croydon press that one of our stewards gave one of them a funny look as they walked in and ruined the day for them.
* there will be a load of them screaming "come on then" on the walk back to the station while hiding behind a line of police horses, and if any Charlton so much as make the smallest move towards them, they will turn and run faster than you can say "Mummy!!"
* the teenage "Ultras" won't understand why we're chanting Oh Ah Eric Cantona at them as it happened before they were born (last time at Sellout we sang it they replied with "You What?")
* We will out sing them throughout and the next day on Holmesdale.net they will claim not to have heard us and that the Valley was silent
* When we beat them they will pretend they don't care and will be nowhere to be seen on here. If they scrape a win then CL will be inundated with stripy WUMs coming on to gloat and rub our noses in it.
* They will still be sad stripy spotty Nigel scum when they wake up the next day, so will be the real losers of the night even if they somehow win...0 -
That's unfair. They're a lovely, misunderstood club with loads of history, a real sense of identity and I'd be proud to follow them. It's almost a pleasure to be hosting them tomorrow. Remember people from places like Addiscombe, Shirley and Elmer's End are really nice, respectable middle-class people and should be treated as such. If you see one, be gentle to these lovely, inoffensive creatures. True they do have a few fans who savagely attacked a few innocent families at Sydenham station that time, but that was just a heat of the moment thing and they no doubt emerged from prison better and reformed people. So, if you see one, shake them warmly by the hand. They are a little bit odd, but in a nice way.0

This is a 2-1 win for the Addicks. Sadly I wont be seeing the game live as I'm out with Mrs RM at a meal....but recording it on Sky +, then going to avoid CL and watch the whole game when I get in...to those going enjoy the game and sing loud and proud....I'll be doing the match thread on Tuesday v's Derby....COYR's0
