Let's call the whole thing off !0 -
According to this mornings paper he's being chased by Everton , Sunderland and Newcastle .0

£2.5m and someone like Quinn in the other way would be superb business.

It does make you wonder what these top seems see in Stephens that convinces them that a player who is rated nearly lowest (in terms of average performance score and, therefore 'worth') in a Division 1 team by its own fans has demonstrated ability to improve a Premiership side. I know he looks (and probably should perform) like a young Steven Gerrard but, for me and many others on here, that's where the similarity ends. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and he seems a decent human being but I would gladly wish him well and pocket anything remotely close to £2.5m.0

Am I getting mixed up or is Quinn a winger and Stephens a centre mid? Hardly a like for like replacement0

It's a new car, he used to drive a BMW (not blacked out) until well May (bonus time) and seen him outside with his golf stuff. Plus he has a personalised plate with his age and initials on it which helpgolfaddick said:

Go and knock0

Go and knock, make up a excuse for knocking. If you don't you will have to rename yourself BottleKnocker0
-
I doubt that Dale has driven to Villa Park himself, which would explain the car still there. Actually, I agree with NLA, best go knock and find out once and for all on behalf of CL.0

I can't buy into this 2.5million fee for him at all0
-
Pretend to be a door to door salesman if he answers0
-
Good News if Sunderland are chasing him, they will totally over pay. I reckon by days end price will be around 4m.0
-
Block of flats ... better of sitting on his bonnet, like a 13 year old scouse lad looking after an away fans motor0

If true, it's madness, but history tells us the, being a selling club, will sell.CAFCBourne said:I can't buy into this 2.5million fee for him at all

Everton and Newscastle also linked with him. Was in the sun this morning0

Let his tyres down
Just so I know, is the song for tmrw
"who needs Chris Solly we've got big Lawrie"
Or maybe we're all doomed
Get a grip people there are 90 selling clubs in this league an we are one of them0 -
I think a lot of the reasons for his low marks in the player ratings is because people seem to have this misconception that he is the type of player who breaks late into the box, and so mark him down for not doing that. He isn't that kind of player. He's closer to Michael Carrick than Steven Gerrard. He keeps things ticking over, receiving and giving the ball, creating space for the killer pass.
He sometimes loses concentration, he sometimes goes missing, but if he can work on these then he will be a great rather than good player.
That said, for £2.5m, I'd take it, no question.0 -
hahah these reports are getting silly nowMikey-cafc said:Everton and Newscastle also linked with him. Was in the sun this morning
