There's one opposite the station. That's the one we were in the last time we got promoted up there.

Normally drink in the Rugby Club next to the ground.

Sensible away fans welcome, cheap beer, SKY sports and a couple of pool tables.

spoons by the station looks alright but will go somewhere else if all our lot are heading somewhere
  • spoons i heard but i think we should keep most of this down to ourselves and not draw attention to where people are meeting, i have a nagging feeling it could be a day of incidents

afternoon from sunny carlisle(its at least 2 degrees above freezing!)just a couple of things that might help tomorrow.Spoons might be off limits if as usual police restrict movement down botchergate for away fans(unless you can sneak past in ones and twos!!)Griffin and rugby club probably best bets.
To the match,as you probably gather carlisle fans are dismayed by Millers injury and while not a one man team his absence is a huge blow and it will be `interesting` to see which system Greg Abbott employs without him.I think to be honest if we were offered a share of the points now most of us would take your hand off!!

Anyways enjoy the day(not too much)and travel safely.

ps.if it is sunny tomorrow(it wont be warm!!)you will be looking into the sun all afternoon, shades and caps!

If you've got time on your hands then try 'The Turf' down by the river by the leisure centre, the other side of town from the ground. There' also a nice little pub in the centre of town just around the corner from the tourist info towards the cathedral. This is taken from my 1996-8 memory bank however.
