    Surely us visiting Man Utd is connected to this in some way.

    Maybe CP said Peterborough could only use our facilities if Fergie Sr. allowed us to visit Carrington. And Slater would have somehow arranged for us to visit Man City?..

    Nothing so complicated, we use northern training grounds when we play up there and other clubs do the same with us. Mark Robson is also Posh coach.
