NEW ARTICLE: Nick the Nap's Weekend Tips

New Weekly Feature for CL.

Every week Nicholas will be sharing his years of betting experience by posting up the latest CAFC-related odds and his bets for the weekend ahead. You may well think he knows his stuff, but remember, he is Nick the Nap because he is always asleep, not for his betting prowess :-)

-------

Hello fellow Lifers, seeing as we don’t have an official betting thread on here I thought I would get one up and running.

Each week I will list a host of odds from a few online bookmakers ahead of Charlton’s weekend match and will also give you Nick’s Picks which will consist of me probably embarrassing myself trying to predict the correct score and the first goalscorer of each Charlton match. Also, I will give my Bet of the Week which you can all follow (at your own risk) this will normally be a 3 or 4 team accumulator. Feel free to add your own fancy’s for the weekend and let me know what you think of my bets. With a bit of luck I can pick you all a few winners!

Charlton host Sheffield United in a in a top of the table clash this Saturday. Charlton, who have a four-point cushion and a game in hand over second placed United, will know this will be one of the toughest test’s they have faced at home all season. The last time the two teams met….you know what I won’t bother mentioning that!

The odds I will be giving for the Charlton game will be match result, correct score and first goal scorer if you have any requests for any other types of bets for future Charlton games please say and I will try and add them on for future games. Also if you have any price requests for away team correct score etc please say and I will try and get it on here as soon as I can. I will use 4 bookmakers to give you the best odds from they will be: Bet365, Beat Victor, Paddy Power and Skybet.

  • @Salad you can get odds of 9/4 with Bet365 for over 3.5 goals

@AFKABartram a massive 14-1 with Skybet for Cafc HT / Draw FT not a bad bet that one may have a bit of that myself.
  • HT: 1-0, FT: 2-1 = 25/1
  • get on betfair 99% of the time better prices on there for singles
but wont have the range of bets for non prem games if not live on the box

  • morrison to score and Charlton to win 13-1
  • That accy looks good may do it

  • Barnsley
    Brummy
    Derby
    Carlisle
    Accrington
    Crewe
    Oxford

    £144.46 returns from £1
  • Yea can see millwall getting a draw at barnsley but good odd for them 4
  • Palace are resting pretty much their entire team today. I've stuck a score on Blackpool -0.75.

Pompey have injuries, so I've also done Cardiff -0.75 but that's a little risky as Cardiff may rest players too.
  • How's bet of week going anyone?
  • Only done your bet of the week sadly

What more do you want people !!
  • Ok fair enough the acc was cack. Got the correct score at least at decent odds. Maybe i'll add a tally of the three bets I do each week and work out how much i'll be up or down in the season for a £1 steak. First week i'm +£5.50.
  • i fancy the old sage to be up come the end of the season

    (if he quits now!)
  • The tip did look good to be fair just unlucky I'm willing to follow this man next weekend
  • boro have let me down to often in the past to trust em again
  • Cheers Nolly dont kill me if I dont come up trumps. Just a bit of banter fun.
  • To be honest after today I've had enough of Boro too. Saying that though there's quite a few others aswell.
  • Well you got the score right I just don't do them, I was worried millwall would do something at barnsley as they have Henderson on track now, next season this team will not cower from them
