    Not at all. Tenacity is laudable, but at higher levels pace is all. Posters here slagged him off but he was part of a Parky crappy defence. He stopped crosses going over, Solly doesn't.

    We're not at a higher level. Solly and his attitude and abilities all day long for me.

    He certainly did not stop crosses going over. He either couldn't stop them or was massively out of position & not even there in the first place.

    Shocking defender, who didn't even try some of the time & was such a bad influence according to Kinsella, that Kins nearly broke a blood vessel, just reliving the memories.

    I feel sorry for Hayes.

    Ps He was decent going forward.

    Solly doesn't stop crosses going over? Solly's best trait is his ability in one-on-ones. He almost invariably either gets the ball off the player or pushes him wide and forces him to turn back, taking the pace out of the attack. My memory of Yassin was that he rarely stopped crosses going over because he was busy milling about somewhere up teh pitch having lost of ball and showing no interest in getting back

    Can't believe Yassin is being compared to Solly. I have seen Chris Solly put in more effort in one tackle than that useless tosser did in his whole career at Charlton.

    Good attacking full back not so good defensive full back ala Francis.
    Would be a good winger IMO some defensive ability, not enough to be a RB though.

    Guys if he was any good then a club higher than Hayes and Yeading would have signed him a long time ago.  Solly is better than him,Parkinson and Kinsella did not rate him only Mrs Arter (Allegedly) and Pardew did
