I know people will have a huge range of opinions on this but i'm interested to know who people would say are the best players we've has since we dropped out the premiership. This is mine...

You honestly think Green the player who has played 2 cup games and one league game and who can't get into our current team is the best right winger we've had since the prem days? I won't get started on Eccleston.

Mike, please post your team! Reid nearly made it but Ecclestone piped him to it due to his performances last season, which is probably why he hasn't got a club at present. Didn't think much of Thomas when we were in the championship, although clearly he's decent as he's at West Brom, he's certainly no Danny Green!

worked hard, plenty of effort but some of the sitters he missed in that relegation season from the championship were unforgivable. Remember one at Cardiff away before things went tits up and QPR away to name a few.0 -

BWP has only played for us in the third tier so impossible to even compare him. zheng was good but reid was pure class for the first half of that season and completely dominated games, it is no coincidence that we were basically in the top two when he got injured (and subsequently sold), and then collapsed (in spite of Zheng) to midtable mediocrity.Andy Reid is by some considerable distance the best player who has played for us since we were relegated

Thing with Varney was that he tried too hard, always running at full tilt - it can be hard to retain composure when you bust a gut to get in scoring position.
A more relaxed player might have put some of those chances away ......but would he have got into the positions that Varney got into?
One thing about non-League players coming into the game late - they may often lack a little finesse, but their attitude is generally spot on.
