Let's be real we're not getting to Wembley in the FA or league cups in a hurry, so as rubbish as this tournament is, it's 1 of the 2 chances we have of getting there.

I had this chat at work the other day, with my colleague, he said top 6, or a trophy. I said Top 6 > any competition. I'd rather Wembley via play offs than the FA, League cup, L1+2 cup. If there is no chance of Top 6 by February, and we get to the quarters then let's go all in, however till then focus should be on the league.
I imagine most teams just treat this like the big PL clubs treat the league cup.
Not really arsed about it and play kids in the early rounds, if you get to the quarters then you start to take it a bit more seriously and if you reach the semi then you field your best team.
I’d go reluctantly cos the kids would want to go i don’t want to go a minge of a competition Just like if we fall in to the conference and get to the fa vase /trophy/wanking cup final or whatever it is it’s a reminder how shit we are and how low we have fallen can we draw Birmingham at some stage and get knocked out we’ve already had our cup final against Wrexham are they still in this guff so we can have another wankathon in to some half and half scarves
Yup but then we are a middling team in a shithouse league, with every prospect of being here for the foreseeable
We must be in danger of becoming the team that has been in League One for the longest current period. Proper League One flagship team now. 5 long years of mid-table mediocrity with not even a sniff of the play offs doesn't get much duller than this.

Given the sizes of the clubs and their attendances, that's a pretty good achievement for both Shrewsbury and Burton. Shrewsbury's crowds would put in the bottom half of league 2 and Burton would be in the bottom 4.

They are currently sitting in 23rd and 24th in the league, so could find themselves back in L2 next season.

It’s November & there’s no chance of top six. Hope this helps.
I say go all in on this competition, give us a day at Wembley (we normally win there too!)
Orient are on a slide , their Dunkin Doughnut man has put about £10m in and doesn’t want to do any more , he’s looking to get other investors I think . They've got the 20th budget in The division and currently are in that position , was speaking to an O’s fan last night
