It doesn't actually say he won't be out for months. That's just being deduced from the words.

Usually a significant knee injury (Grade 2) will be 3 months at the earliest.
    What a window we’re having 🎉🥳🍾

Thought the tackle was a bit off for a friendly.

Steve Brown’s battle of the champions game was lively for a pre season kickabout

Didn't see it myself. Shame if so.

We're breaking them even quicker than usual.

Worth getting in a RB on loan until Jan to cover maybe...?

It happened in the first half and we still put him out for the second half? Is that right?

And yet Dobbo wasn’t risked because he had a “little tightness”.?

From a distance it looks like we have not improved in this area at all.

Not quite. He went down injured, got treated, then allowed to play on up until half time, then taken off

Regardless of how long he's out for I think another fullback is needed, IMO a left back so Sessegnon can be the cover for both sides
Sessegnon is our starting LB, as I understand it. Wouldn't be surprised if a loan came in that could cover LB and ball playing LCB positions.

May educated guess, looks like it might be a LCL grade II so probably looking at around 5/6 weeks so maybe back in time for end of August.
And that lines up with what Garner said. He said weeks not months.

Should have kept Matthews or Gunter

@Sage, so frustrating for him. My rough guess is that it was less likely to occur if he was not playing out of position. A specialist RB usually knows when to ride a rough tackle on their preferred side.

Extremely frustrating but these injuries do happen. Not sure how much playing on the left actually impacts it, if at all, guess we’ll never know.

On the flip side, as much as it’s a shame to lose him for the start of the season, I was looking forward to him really starting strong, I’d rather if it was going to happen, it happens now where he has 2-3 weeks before the season starts than it happening mid-way through the season and missing 10-12 games. Now, he’s only going to miss probably 6?

If he's out for weeks not months and will miss the start of the season, I'm also thinking 6/7 weeks so early September.

According to my red bull fan mate (serious but I’m ten pints in ) he’s a decent enough player but just a bit too gobby , hence he fell out with their manager and ended up in their reserves .

for me , as with all Charlton players in the last few years , they are utter shit till proven otherwise and no amount of wanking off by the happy clappy brigade will mean anything till we’re out of This shithouse league

Should have kept Matthews or Gunter
Would've been hard to keep them when they've both earned bigger moves

Don't  let that fool you mate...our returning players are at their most vulnerable when put to grass.
And STILL he wonders why people have a crack....

Be interesting to see how he gets into the team, I think the right back slot is Clare's to lose atm.
Unfortunately I suspect everyone will get plenty of game time this season

Some maybe more than others, but can see either everyone getting some kind of injury this season (Just depends how long they're out for), or they'll all be managed so well by Garner that the majority of players will be rested before they can be over worked and injured.

Last season Swindon had 8 players that featured in more than 30 league games.  It would have been more if two weren't recalled from loan.

Bowyer,  and not as extreme, Jackson seemed to play them until they broke, and they nearly all did.  Adkins went the other way and left them out too often.

Anyone that can get 45 appearances, plus how ever many games he played for Wales out of Williams (that's 1 season btw 😀) must be doing something right.

I think with the 5 subs the starting 11 will settle down to about the same 13 or 14 players.

Look forward to seeing him. All action RB.

Remember Clare won't sustain this form for the entire season, but with competition, it can only help.

He back on the grass. Hopefully fully recovered.

I doubt many of us have much clue as to what Egbo has to offer but he came into the club known to Garner and with a bit of an exciting reputation. Yes Clare has been excellent at right back and long May it continue but what a great position to be in where we have two good right backs pushing each other and giving BG the luxury of swapping things around. Been a while since we’ve had that and it’s happening in midfield too. Get that CB and striker in and I think we’re in for an exhilarating ride.

Could do with him back as well soon, especially if Sessegnon has a knock now.

Any news on this fella? I'm beginning to wonder if he really exists and Sandy made him up to leave us believing we'd signed someone
