Thank you . The fact is everyone on here who has been blighted by this horrible disease is amazing . You have no choice but to fight it with all your might . It gives you a whole new perspective on life when you think you might be on borrowed time. Enjoy every day and don’t let the petty things in life drag you down especially when Charlton lose!
Good evening everyone. Sorry for the delay in posting, but I had to speak with my family first. My Oncologist told me today that the MRI scan ha shown the tumour has shrunk. It's still there but it hasn't spread anywhere else either! Hence I'm going back on chemo as from next Tuesday for 6 more sessions. After the 5th session I'll have a few more scans, I'll then have a f2f discussion with the MDT. I can then agree to have a 10hr operation to remove any of the tumour that's left, repair the hernia and remove the stoma. Or leave it alone and have a scan every two months to start with increasing to 6 months over time. I don't have to decide until the end of the chemo sessions, which will coincide with my 70th birthday! So it looks as though I'm going to be around for awhile yet. I've battled as hard as I possibly could since June 2023 physically and mentally. If the next sessions of chemo work as well as the last lot, I'm hoping I'll at least be in remission, by April. Will I get to The Valley before the season ends...yes I certainly will!! Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy xx Thanks for all your support from everyone on here!! Cheers Malc x
