As they say, Nick was proper Charlton. Been there, seen it, done it, got the T-Shirt. This is such sad news and my heartfelt condolences go out to family and friends. RIP

Absolutely gutted about this, I knew Nick through football and history, a top, top bloke, a wicked sense of humour, a sharp tongue and always a smile and real twinkle in his eye.
I last saw him up at Fleetwood and inspite of his failing health, he was cheerful and so excited about becoming a Grandad.
He leaves a genuine gap in our ranks and the world's a sadder place today but I will cherish the memories if drinking in the old Brewery at St Truiden alongside the many far flung outposts we met following the Addicks.
Very sorry to hear this. I’d known Nick for about 30 years, originally from his involvement with CASC in West Kent, and he was someone you could always rely on to have an intelligent view on things, on here and in person. Big loss.
Terrible news. I text him a couple of months back and having lost over 7 stone always feared the worst.
He loved Charlton. His sons middle name is Charlton, even I thought that was a bit much.
We went to so many matches in the 70s and 80s together. I guess sharing car duties for the 1986 Carlisle promotion trip the highlight. My Mrs still keeps in touch with his first wife.
A terrible loss for everyone and my thoughts and sincere condolences are with his family right now.
Awful news. Only met him a few years ago but we clicked straightaway. Certainly had some sense of humour - once told me if our paths crossed earlier in life, I'd have been his dream woman. Deepest sympathy to the family and his many friends. Rest in peace, Nick.
