How far behind is their fitness (and consequently liable to injury) - and how long before they are consistently able to make a meaningful contribution to a match?

I do like the idea of a player who can put himself about. Obviously they need to be half decent too. It might be interesting to see how League One defences cope with Aneke and Bogle together. I don't know if it would work but might be worth a test when the opportunity arises.

The timing is rubbish when it comes to signing players. Most of the sought after under contract players will have moved already, and aren't going to swap clubs after a month of the season!
Watching the videos, it does look like he has composure and some talent. I know it isn't the best indicator, but it is probably the only one for most of us until we see him play regularly.
More than happy to give him a chance, if LB and SG like him then that's good enough for me. People on here need to give him chance to play before calling him out!
Given the embargo & everything that has been going on I think Bogle is more last chance saloon rather than LB & SG liking him but yes have to give him a chance before deciding that I was right & slating him

Well the meat quality in Aldi & Lidl is far superior to Tesco and Sainsbury's so as long as we keep signing meaty players...
What I don’t get is people getting the hump before they’ve even seen the bloke in a Charlton shirt.
Its like those annoying fuckers that have never tried a type of food but say this will taste shit before they’ve even put it in their mouth. Just have a few tastes and then tell us what it’s like.

I'm just grateful we have a club to follow still and an owner who has come in and make a good impression by backing up his words with actions so far.
Done more in 3 weeks than the other pricks did in seasons in that respect.
We're a club that's been a basket case for the best part of a decade. We have been to the dizzying heights of mid table top flight football before and have the potential to do so again...eventually...and it is only potential...but we do not have an entitlement or divine right to succeed just because we have a decent stadium, committed following and won the cup in 47. Many clubs bigger and more successful than us have learned this to their peril.
Need to have realistic expectations at what can be achieved and over what period.
Thankfully TS seems to get that and talk of top flight in 10 years rather than fantasy of it being within reach in less...of course mathematically possible in two but unlikely.
Many of us feared potential oblivion only a month ago or terminal decline as court cases and transfer embargoes loomed heavy.
We're now on a (hopefully) new path with a bloke who seems genuinely committed (from early evidence) to halting the decline and turning us around and are making signings as good as the wage cap and late in the day window will permit.
We're an oil tanker to turn and put on the right route after 10 years of flailing about on choppy waters.
I'm delighted to log on and see we're signing players and regardless of perceived quality want players who want to play for us.
It's a long road ahead before we'll likely see any form of sustainable success but we should ensure we retain perspective of where we've been and what we've experienced the past decade and we're in all likelihood in a far better position overall than when we triumphed at Wembley.
We need someone who can get stuck in and who doesn't think he is too good for the league. Someone that can play Lincoln City at their own game and enjoy it. Welcome Omar.
