is it just me that hopes they come runners up in the league and go out the champs league at knockout stages.

He's a wimp for joining psg.

People want entertainment. That's his job, to provide entertainment.

He knows the premier League is the best league in the world.

    Let down
It would have been great to see what he could have done in the premier league for a couple of years.

    No pressure Poch......
I just cant believe Poch didn't want to leave PSG to come back to Tottenham to manage Moussa Sissoko...
Such a frustrating player. The amount of times you see him pick the ball up on the edge of your box and make a surging run through midfield........only to fall apart when approaching the opponents box by either passing to a ballboy or otherwise trying a shot and kicking his own teeth out.

I don't understand why he needs 35 million a week - dare I say he wouldn't look as amazing in the prem but im in the ronaldo GOAT camp anyway

    R9 was better than both
  • Fully expect him to end back @ Barcelona in two years

Also fully expect Sergio Ramos to go through him on the first day of training, old habits die hard and all that :D

Really boring if he signs for PSG. For the best player in the world to go and play in a league nobody gives a shit about.

Guess for all the talk of Messi being a humble, quiet guy, he's chosen the money over actually challenging himself.
  • Would have loved him to join Atlético, to link up with Luis Suarez again and prove a point to Barcelona.

Hahahaha proper choking on my tea laughing.  Such a brilliant description.

He'd have no doubt got the same comments if he'd joined Man City given their recent domestic domination. PSG didn't even win their league last season.

But realistically his aim is to win the champions league again (he even said in his Barca press conference he'd have liked to have won 1-2 more with Barca). So with that as his aim, he's realistically limited to 4-5 clubs currently. PSG, City, Chelsea, Bayern and potentially Liverpool. Bayern, Liverpool and Chelsea (as far as we're aware) didn't go for him, City also said no as their priority is Kane so...........that leaves one club.

Knew he was too afraid to join the PL.

Be curious to know which other clubs actually bothered to put bids in for him

Obviously, it's up to him to do whatever he feels is the right move.

    It's just a bit of a shame.

Another one of the all time best players in the world never playing in the English league.

Figo, Zidane, kaka, Ronaldiniho, Pele. To name a few

I always remember the end of a match between Liverpool and Spurs. Spurs were level and had a 2 on 1 breakaway to score right at the death. Sissoko was driving the ball forward and had Son to his right. Van Dijk was between them on his own. Instead of trying to cover the man and the pass van Dijk just made sure he blocked the pass option to Son, because he knew that if he left Sissoko to take the chance he'd do something embarrassing. Sure enough Sissoko spaffed it over the bar and Liverpool went down the other end and scored. When opposition players are giving you a free run on goal because they know it's the best way to get the ball back quickly you might need to think about your technique.

The humble stuff is bollocks, he's thrown his toys out of the pram at Barca loads of times.

Given every other club knew PSG offered a £25m signing on fee plus £25m year wages for each of the two seasons, probably none.

If Messi came out and said this isn't about money, it's about legacy I'm sure you'd have seen every super club putting a bid in.
  • Thing is though, I’m completely detached from it all.
Players being paid ridiculous wages & then suddenly a club can’t afford it anymore 🤷‍♀️

    Who really cares?

Barcelona fans, who will now realise that they have lost their hero & they may never see the like again. Be happy you had him for as long as you did. If he were at Charlton, he would have been sold for 50p & an extra 50p if he won a title 🙄

Barcelona will always have the best the world have to offer. Cruyff, Maradona, Ronaldo, Messi...just a conveyor belt of world class legends.

Ah ok, I know BT also have Serie A and obviously the UCL, Sky have got the Bundesliga and the MLS, La Liga I have no idea, and nothing else is worth watching anyway.

Love it if he turns up there and announces he is joining Marseille

I think a lot of people will be hoping they fail.

    Unlikely though with that team.
