Matty Cash (Aston Villa) has been called up for International Duty... by Poland

From Wiki though not sure what the bolded bit means. Incredible coincidence that he was granted Polich Citizenship one day and called up the next!

Cash is of Polish descent through his mother, who is Polish born in Great Britain.[28] In September 2021, Cash applied for a Polish passport.[29] Cash's application for citizenship was signed on 26 October 2021 at the Masovian Voivodeship government building in Warsaw. With dual-nationality, Cash is now eligible for selection for the Poland national team.[30]
  • November 1 is the earliest date that a Premier League manager of the month that season has ever been sacked. Congratulations to Nuno.

  • Sergio Ramos is being paid £200k a week by a club he's never played for.

He's not been fit/injury free enough to make his PSG debut yet.

Plays for PSG but has been injured the whole time he's been there

Might never play for them either

  • Like an expensive Cory Gibbs.
  • What is quite amusing is that PSG got rid of Thiago Silva because they felt he was too old and not worth the 2 year deal he wanted. 18 months later he's still playing in the best league in the world, won a CL and still plays for Brazil.

They then sign Ramos on a 2 year deal despite his injury issues at the end of his Madrid career and not going to the Euro's.

  • As of 2019 at least, Lionel Messi had never scored in the first two minutes of a game.

Apparently he spends the first couple of minutes just strolling about watching the opposition and how they've set up so he can start to spot gaps etc.
  • Roy Carroll won a trophy in his only ever game as a manager.

    Lazy prick.
Down the Valley you just know someone would be on his back after about 70 seconds, "do something Messi you lazy fucker"
Be lucky to see him at the valley doesn't pass the CL height test.
  • Roy Carroll won a trophy in his only ever game as a manager.
He was also still contracted as a player to Northern Irish Premiership club Dungannon Swifts earlier this year at the age of 43.

Tottenham have given Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte contracts to manage them until 2023.

It is still the case that the last footballer to play in goal for a Manchester club against Atalanta and not concede a goal was Kyle Walker.

  • I’ve said it before but this thread should be named after Richard Jolly  :)
  • Since his "debut" no one has scored more championship goals than Mitrovic.

He has spent 2 years in the Premier league in that time.

  • Yeovil and York must have played each other
  • That was sort of my point. Is it really a football fact that don't sound true?
