Really nice message and i have no ill feeling towards him at all and hope he goes on to be a success somewhere else.
He always gave his best, i just never felt he was at the level required and being honest i think he was probably quite fortunate to play almost 150 games for us.
Very best wishes. One of our own who will be yet another good example of the one remaining top feature of our club, our Academy. I hope you get a good club Albie.
Its not often I will say this about a departing player, but I would be delighted if the decision to let him go came back and bit us on the arse.A top lad, bled Charlton, and maybe in more settled times could have become a Charlton favourite.
An error to let him leave. Should have built the team around him. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in a Championship team. With the right manager he will have a very successful career. The pelters he got from some of our fans says all you need to know about the morans that support our club. Albie was a Charlton lad and unlike so many of our players over the past 5 years he actually gave a shit which in my book counts for an awful lot.
We were lucky to have him and the club that he now signs for will be better for him having him.

Forza Albie.
The problem with building a team round him, ignoring the quality issue, is after approaching 150 games no one has got a scooby what his best role in the team is.

Obviously a nice lad, but he just hasn’t shown enough in the near 150 games for us that he has what it takes to be a mainstay in the team (I don’t think he’s good enough for us as a mid-table L1 club, let alone one with higher ambitions) and certainly not someone that you build your team around.
He knows how to hit a Hollywood ball, 40-50 yards when under no pressure, but strangely his corners & set-pieces were bloody awful. I know he had a good number of assists, but his all round play was poor. He isn’t a tackler, he doesn’t score enough for an attacking midfielder and opposition players often just ran past him. A player who can play football, but without a football brain.
As I said, he comes across as a nice lad and nothing would please me more than a homegrown player, who cares about our team as much as we do, succeeding but that player isn’t Albie. Hope he has a decent career, there’s time for him to maybe improve but I think it’s right that he gets a chance to do that elsewhere. Both sides, the club and Albie, need that change I think.
Such a shame he couldn't fully transfer what was seen in training to match day. I do think he'll go on and have a very good career, likely league 1/2 but better than 99.9% of us could ever have achieved.
Still wouldn't be surprised to see him back with Jacko, but wherever he goes I hope he does really well.
He'll easily get another L1 club if he wants to (depending on location etc). Don't tell me he wouldn't be good enough for the likes of Shrewsbury, Lincoln, Exeter etc

This is crazy. I thought you must be on a wind up, but then i looked back at your comments and although there aren't many, a lot of them are about Morgan. You've either been watching a different player to the rest of us or you're related to him.
Should be building a team around him next year. More than enough quality to get in the League 1 team of the year.
Another man of the match performance. By a distance the best player on the pitch.
Little surprise that a busy and industrious Morgan made us a better team last night. Our dip in form has coincided with him being on the bench.
We are better with Morgan in the team.
Make Albie captain. Rebuild the club around him and the other kids.
I love Albie. Searing cross field passes, pings it off both feet and runs around loads. Rock n roll footballer. Hope he plays 500 games for the club.
Always showing, brave on the ball and doesn't stop offering himself as an option. We are better with him in the team than without him.
Morgan was excellent on and off the ball today. Physically looked much stronger. Excellent stuff.

He's good enough for any League 1 club, if he's a starter is a different question, but I certainly think in an attacking side with decent channel runners he'll do well.
Funnily enough, my daughter always said he was captain material. She noticed him always talking with the ref and trying to calm things down. Personally I hope he does well, but not so much that it bites us on the arse. He needs a fresh start where the baggage isn't there.

My feeling was that he kept on having a go at the ref when he thought he'd been fouled.

Find it interesting reading the views on Albie. I've seen them range from he could play in the Championship to the National League is his level.

Albie Morgan's touch is ridiculously good.
Neil Critchley is probably a good Manager to get potential out of players so lets see.
Shame Kirk couldn't make himself part of the deal!
