  • Had a bet on 3-1. Just noticed that, very unusually, Millwall are at home tonight with a 7:45PM K/O. Bit of bad planning there...
  • Silly to have the Charlton Millwall U23 match on the same day as both playing a league match, surely there are players who might have made the matchday squads?

I assume Bauer will be back, no idea who will replace Fosu on the bench though

Hackett-Fairchild probably as he's the only name I can think of missing from the U23s
  • will be a crap game against a side playing for a draw from the KO who are bound to go 0-1 up and then sit even deeper.....we'll equalise to grab a superb 1-1 draw
  • Struggling to locate my enthusiasm gland.

    No wonder you're grumpy...

Fosu’s is a bad one. 5 weeks is possibly a little optimistic, we may not see him this side of Christmas.

Spoke to the first team physiotherapist this morning and he said Fosu passed all the tests before the game on Saturday with no symptoms of pain or reoccurrence of injury from before. Fosu then asked to have a form of strapping on his thigh before the game started ‘as precaution’ which the medial team wondered why and informed Robinson but Tariqe was adamant he was okay. However, as he crossed for our second goal, the own goal, he hit the ball in a different type of way which has set him back. Really done part of his quad in and now probably won’t be back before Christmas, probably will be the new year unless he recovers better than expected.

Pearce is however on the edge of returning as is Harry Lennon which is great. Just frustrating that when we get Reeves and Marshall back, Clarke and Fosu get very similar lengthy injuries.

So plenty of depth in defence soon, but little in attacking areas

So Fosu recovers in time for the January transfer window :-(

stays out just long enough to keep the scouts away and then dives back into action for the tail end of the season. Big Charlton win tonight 5 nil Reeves, Mags and JFC amongst the goals

Hopefully the signing of Best happening soon will improve that situation a little. Also, with Pearce and Lennon coming back, moving Sarr up top briefly may actually be an option.
  • Will be my first game at the Valley for over a year - so it's got 0-0 written all over it !
  • KAG and Dodoo as the attacking subs doesn't inspire much confidence.

Wonder if it'll be worth putting Mascoll @ Left-Back and stick Dasilva @ Left-Mid
Mascoll helped us beat Millwall this afternoon.
  • Yet again our lack of squad depth could be our downfall. Please sell up and eff off RD.

I mean we have five really good attacking players for that front three, plus KAG. Injury to two of your best attackers would hurt any team in this division and the fact that Reeves and Marshall can come in actually shows some strength in depth.

Ideally we'd have one more there but again, this is League One. And I really think there was a hope that KAG would break through and look like a first teamer.

We also have the option to recall RCC.

0-0 HT, KR rallies them at halftime, we win 4-0 and with 5 mins to go news begins to emerge of a freak yachting accident in Belgium..
  • Would love to see a win but 0-0 looks very likely. We have trouble putting the ball in the net and they will park the bus.
