So let me get this right. He's got the players to explain what went wrong and about 15 coaches to do the training - apart from talk loads and draw up lists of players he wants (despite not knowing what league his team will be in) what is it he actually does?
let's hope this list is a bit better than the last one. "we need to be prepared" be nice if you prepared on a match day as well.

We're assuming this was something Tarbuck initiated or controlled.
What if it were the players who said "this is what we think is going wrong, this is what we think is wrong with the tactics, formations, selections and coaching".
We know, as Pearce told us, that the players met with Slade and called for a more positive approach, something I think Nugent implemented.
Perhaps the senior players suggested the "presentation" and it was about where, as Tarbuck says, "we" are going wrong.
Maybe the "we" is him and the coaches but he isn't going to say in public "the players told me my coaching and tactics are shite and that the sessions Barker and O'Loughlin put on are much better".
Could be a good thing if it clears the air and tactics and selections improve. I hope that is the case as we badly need some points.
After the presentation Lionel Messi popped in for a quick chat & then Pele took a training session with the strikers while Jamie Oliver cooked everybody lunch...
Well, that's a lie. Jamie Oliver has been in Chichester all week.
Powell is cautious and this was apparent in so much that he did. He communicated carefully, never saying anything he might regret or have to contradict subsequently. He emphasised due diligence in player recruitment, checking character, as well as ability. Tactically he played 442, implementing it with priority attention given to discipline when out of possession.
Robinson speaks from the heart; he’s open and tells us more than we’ve experienced from any other manager in the era of media-dominated football. He expresses these views before he has reflected on them and so contradictions occur. Tactically he throws caution to the wind in his desire for his team to get on the front foot. He switched to 442 for Shrewsbury, but this was not a highly-disciplined 442 a la Powell.
Their styles are completely different and Robinson has been much criticised on this forum on matters of style. I can see why his way of communicating can grate, but I’d at least give him credit for seeing it as a manager’s responsibility to give the fans his take on what is going on. The criticism of his session with the players yesterday is, I think, mistaken. It is well accepted, not only in business, but also in teaching and in life generally, that if performance is unsatisfactory, then it is generally more effective to get the performers to evaluate what they did than to tell them their performance was inadequate. If they are objective in their assessment and recognise their short-comings, then a move to the next step of working out how to improve can be taken in an atmosphere of constructive agreement on what has to be tackled. If Robinson assessed the session correctly, then he achieved this.
Style is important if it upsets relationships with the players. Generally we only find that out indirectly through results after the manager is given a reasonable period and support in player arrivals and departures. As for Powell that means support in the summer and a few months next season. Whether that happens is in someone else’s hands, but I’d like to see him given that chance rather than yet another spin of the managerial wheel.
Are you sure you have posted this on the right Charlton forum? It is far too considered and sensible with hardly any negative comments. Just not used to this.

Robinson said post match that there would be changes on Saturday - since when does he ever keep the same team!
However, presumably he will be leaving out the ones who, in his opinion, aren't putting a shift in or responsible for the "things he's never seen at a football match". Which might, in itself, be quite revealing.
Like so many connected with the club, can we actually trust anything Robinson says? After his outburst on Tuesday I sense that his comments about players presentations etc was more about giving the media (and Roland?) the impression they all thought he was right to say what he did. I have my doubts.
Jimmy's team selection and the reaction by the players this afternoon will throw some more light on matters. Losing today, in a half hearted manner, will tell us all we need to know and the pressure will be really on him.
No mention of botaka's injury by Robinson and not mentioned by Dr kish either for tomorrows team
Josh Magennis is a major doubt for Charlton after he limped out of Tuesday evening's victory over Scunthorpe United.
The Addicks will definitely be without Jake Forster-Caskey (hamstring) and Chris Solly (calf), but Jordan Botaka could be back in contention after being sidelined on Tuesday.
Long-term absentee Jason Pearce will also miss out, but is set to return to action for the U23s in their Premier League Cup clash with AFC Wimbledon on Sunday.
Typical CAFC Comms - the ticketing info on the above link is for an evening match! Presumably a cut & paste from Tuesday? Doesn't anybody proof-read before posting?!!

Just win games.
Current record this season for KR:
MK Dons: 4 wins from 15 games
CAFC: 3 wins from 17 games
Immature?
