Katie & Roland will not be looking at your list Karl, they will have an alternative.
The list probably came from belgium in the first place. Didn't Slade say that he was "offered" players & "had the right to reject them" I wouldn't imagine it's any different for gobby.
Don't think we can blame him for not getting more players in. Suspect he had a few targets. Think that's all down to the president(!) not wanting to re-invest and taking the profits to offset against his "investment".
Undoubtedly true. No surprise at all that we didn't reinvest any of the Lookman (or Fox) money in the team - we didn't reinvest any of the money we got for JBG, Pope or Cousins either.
However, either Karl has been lied to, or he's part of/complicit in the lie. I think it's the latter.
I know he's taking a lot of stick for this, but I kind of like it. The term "presentation" does make it sound like it's powerpoint, and thus a bit Brent, but we don't know what form that presentation took.
Oh, maybe it was ballet, I'd quite like that. Or interpretive dance. Imagine a handful or players starting off as little seedlings, then bursting forth quickly to represent the early chance, only to slow wither over time, come into full bloom just before half time when taking the lead, then slowly begin a process of wilting, decaying, and dying as the match came to a close.
What? Sorry about that, got distracted.
Back to my serious point. I like the idea of the players saying "this is what we did wrong and this is how we'll fix it." I think it helps both a communal sense of ownership, and also, it's said (and I have no idea if it's true) that being able to "teach" something is the highest form of comprehension.
What it doesn't do, as is pointed out above, is absolve Robinson his responsibility in results of late. I think that he is a better manager than what we've seen (not a world beater, mind), but he has to take responsibility for the fact that the team have looked completely disjointed at times. Sometimes in attack, sometimes in defense. And for the fact that we concede goals from either a long punt, a set piece, or a fast counter attack consistently.
Karl Robinson after Bury, last Saturday: "I don't think you could question players' attitudes. I don't think it was a question of mentality. They gave everything they could.
3 days later, 10 players who featured in the Bury defeat line-up in Charlton's 4-3 defeat to Shrewsbury:
Karl Robinson after Shrewsbury, last Tuesday: "Too many people have been getting away with things for too long and some of the players don't deserve the Charlton Athletic shirt,"
My interpretation of Karl's recent comments is that we've got players who don't deserve to wear a Charlton shirt, but you can't fault their attitude.
I'll be honest, I don't think he knows what he's doing now, or what he's saying anymore.
He's trapped between the incompetence and shit of answering to the powers that be, managing the morale of an average squad of players, and trying to say what we want to hear.

It's all one big pile of dog doo
I make you bang on the money there cabbs, he is not clever enough to deal with it all in compartments, his little brain is meshing it all together and telling his mouth to talk. When his lips part what comes out is................bollocks!

To be fair to him, there is too much above and beyond even Alex Ferguson's skills given the mess we're in.
He's gone from slagging them off on Tuesday to getting them to tell him where it went wrong.
Just imagine the brief - tell me three things that went well, three things that didn't go so well, and three things you can improve on.
It's not their annual f**king appraisal. He's the coach - he's paid to tell them where they went wrong and how they put it right - rather than admitting he hasn't got the faintest idea and wants them to tell him.
DavidKarl: Under "Strengths"... you've just put "football." KeithRoger: Yeah. DavidKarl: That's your job though, that's, that's just— KeithRoger: —Mmm. [nods] DavidKarl: No, KeithRoger. What. I was sort of looking for your skills within your job. So is there anything else you could have put there? KeithRoger: [shrugs]

I imagine it's just gobbys way of saying that they had a team meeting where players offered their views. "They delivered a presentation" is just bollox talk, Thanks Karl normal service is resumed.
I find it a complete pisstake that Robinson keeps talking as though this season is a lost cause, and that he just needs to get the remaining games out of the way before he can completely rebuild the squad.
What am I, as a fan and season ticket holder, supposed to do with that information? Go and watch games where the results are largely pointless, featuring a set of players that won't be here next season? It feels a complete waste of time to me, and I suspect the squad feel the same.

Some tried to rubbish it on here and claim it was £4m but I think we can say it was closer to the former than the latter.

Some are so slow though it looks like walking.

Win games, and the overanalysing would be minimal.

Beyond parody.

The time has come for him to prove himself as a coach. He took this on knowing full well what he was getting himself into.
Put up or shut up & F*** off!

Cheers Robbo, you complete prat.
