Surely Matt Smith could have done with a run out?
Or indeed Hemed, seeing that on Saturday all he managed to kick when he came on was a couple of Huddersfield players

Not sure who Anderson is in goal. Anyone know?

One up at the break. Very entertaining game, end to end.

Well taken goal after good work from both Stevenson and Wiredu. Ness hit the inside of the post and rebound just too high for Davison . JFC running the midfield. Most of the first team in the directors box.

Maybe to train them into looking for a red shirt and passing it to them

Part of a consortium to buy the club?

Fulham equaliser right on the 90 minute mark. Fair result now for extra time  we nearly won it at the end as a clearance from a corner got blocked and had to be hacked off the line.

    Fear for us tbh

    Is Bowyer special guest manager?

All Fulham as second half starts.  Can we hold on for pens. Not seen bowyer today. Jackson here everyone else gone.

Hapless sub clayden having lost the ball for the first goal concedes a pen with a rash challenge. Four minutes left. Gutted for the lads but Fulham have dominated since JFC went off at half time.

Way too much dissent from the manager and players. Winding up the ref never works. Yellow cards galore. Euell could have been sent to the stands.

JFC looked sharp. Deserves to play in the 1st team. He manages to get corners into the goalmouth. Aneke would struggle to get in a walking football team.

JFC at left wingback would be good at this stage of the season with the problem we have at left back

Lost 2-1. Really impressed with Lucas Ness. Built like and plays similar to Harry Maguire. Amazing physique for an 18 year old. Think we've got a good won from the old bill.

    Is Ness right-footed?

Maybe that's what Bowyer is thinking too?

Especially should we play a formation with wingbacks.

Not sure we have three competent centre backs as Pratley is needed elsewhere.

Yeah, I get what you're thinking. But I try to pay attention to what Bowyer actually says and does ...... he's usually predictable; leopards don't change their spots.

Even in a 4-diamond-2, Bowyer wants full backs who can get forward and carry the ball up the line. It's why Matthews is keeping out Solly and why young Alfie has often been picked at wingback, keeping out Purrington.

Poor old Ben, it's all gone tits up for him at the moment and his confidence is shot to pieces because he's asked to play a role he's not comfortable with and often without protection in front or behind him.

That's the trouble with the diamond, exposed fullbacks doubled up on or caught upfield on the turnover when our move breaks down ...... even worse in a 3-5-2, where opponents will target the space behind our wingback.

Both of these formations are favoured by Bowyer because in effect, it gives an extra man in attack whether wide or from the '10' position. Great when it works, but leaves us defensively vulnerable when we caught on the turnover ourselves.

Ness appears to be right footed but was playing left side today and can kick with both feet.

(BTW I understand that none of the Met Police team are serving Police officers.)
