Dismayed to hear too many so called "fans" wanting our team to lose so the owners leave!!! No real fan would ever wish for our club not to win every game. Disgraceful behaviour!
Never want Charlton to lose. Ever. Don't mind RD staying if we win every week and challenge at the right end of the table. Problem is the current mismanagement of the club is producing the exact opposite outcome, a slide towards League One.
I want every team of every age that the club puts out to win. I want Charlton Ladies to win. I want our community scheme to be the best. I want our catering to be the best. Etc etc etc.
I never want Charlton to loose but when we do I console myself with the thought that it might be another nail in the coffin our our interim coach and might help RD reappraise his strategy
Don't want us to lose but it no longer bothers me when we do.
This. I feel as apathetic as I ever have about Charlton. Will be home for a few days in February around the time of the home match vs Cardiff. On previous visits home I have been known to drive straight from the airport to the Valley to watch the football ahead of catching up with family. I once started a week's holiday in France by driving to Hartlepool away and then back to Dover that evening, I was that keen to see us as often as possible. Right now I'm seriously considering giving the Cardiff game a miss, even though it could be years before I get another chance to go again.

I am always dismayed when I read posts criticising other fans because they don't treat their attachment to the club as some kind of blind, irrational faith and the slightest sign of dilution of this fanaticism means you are not a 'real fan'.
People can be real fans without being on the fanatic end of the spectrum. If you come to the conclusion that 3 or 4 losses in a row will hasten the removal of the cancer that is eating away at the club sooner rather than later then I see nothing wrong in stating/hoping that the team lose those games. If you have come to the logical conclusion that regime/managerial change is essential for the club's long term future what is wrong with hoping for results that you feel will lead to that change?

Each to their own I guess but that's not how I have ever felt. I don't pretend to understand the other view either.
If Charlton are playing I want them to win. I'm not on the "fanatic end" I have decided not to attend until things change but I always want the team to win.
Of course we all want Charlton to win, however, we all want the quickest route to getting shot of the Belgians, which may , or may not be losing every game until someone wakes up and 'smells the coffee' . So far, its quite clear that they have absolutely so sense of smell. To me, i've almost given up and , sadly, have no real care if we win or lose - i just want to get to that stage of getting my Charlton back, and doing that as quickly as possible, which i am resigned to doing in the lower leagues- then rebuild it back to its natural level amongst people who really care-and can smell.
These are probably the same so called supporters who ironically cheered Mac when he won a header, gave Pope the "Aah you're sh*t" treatment when he took a goal kick in his last home appearance, etc. I am sure the players are getting to the stage where they are more comfortable playing away from home.
Roly won't change his strategy even if were relegated. We are here for his ego and for his way to be proved right even though it's not! Now I'm confusing myself!
Why would anyone want us to lose and in turn relegated? Who's to say if we went down the owner would even leave. What I want is for the owner to get his head out of his ass, admit he is wrong with his approach and managerial appointments and run us like a proper club should be run. Meaning try to improve the team with mix of league experience and youth, get us winning again, then be concerned about the training facilities. We were already producing quality players in youth without all this expense he has forked out on new facilities which at this rate will be used for league one not championship.
I don't like the way we are run at all, but if this clown is here to stay he needs to do things properly. Get the team confidence and winning mentality up, get decent players in, then invest in top of the range training facilities. I get the feeling he thinks this is a long term investment and not going anywhere
However a defeat used to put me in a bad mood for a few hours. Now I can honestly say that I'm dont give more than 2 mins thought to result of the game. If we win great if we lose then no big deal. I feel quite sad thinking that.

So after notching up what must be a record number of lol's in your last hilarious post post you are having a pop at peoples desperation and frustration at the state of this club?
Disgraceful! No true fan would do that!
I loathe the owner, loathe the CEO and think that the " manager " is hopelessly out of his depth. I am outraged by the ineptitude and lies that flow in our direction and the accelerating downward spiral that the club is in. I can fully understand the very few who feel, at a low ebb, that losing might help rid us of the CEO and manager. Personally I don't agree and want oir club to win.
If you drill down a little and look at why some Charlton fans are so desperate that the want their beloved team to lose you will see that thief motivation is the same as yours - misguided but laudable. Except their reaction is based in reality.
I had an aberration on another thread at the height of the shit run before/when Luzon got sacked and stated that I wanted to the team to go on a terrible run of defeats to emphasise how shit it all was under RD. It was more clutching at straws that if the team were shit, then they had nowhere to hide, it puts THEM under more pressure. It was heat of the moment stuff, I don't think like that now.
However, the frustrating thing is that I want vocal protests against RD during the game, but I know this is to the detriment of the team.

The first half, then to win the match, as I always do the halftime/ full time bet.

Enough already with the fan blaming!
Could never have the feeling of: Yes!! Charlton have just lost, what a result that was
