  • There are so many problems I can see in the squad right now it's hard to even see a team that could NEAR work on Saturday.

We can't bulk up midfield without putting players out of position or playing debutants who aren't ready for the grit and experience of Wednesday. Solly and Fox are so out of form and morale and have such a lack of support that a simple 1-2 on the wing is enough to get the opposition into a goalscoring opportunity.

We play Diarra in midfield which we may need to and it leaves us with a partnership of Sarr and Bauer CB, Sarr gets himself incredibly out of position for a CB, he tries to get involved helping out on the wing and leaves his striker to Bauer.

We play a hold up striker in that of Makienok and he is holding it up for essentially no-one, and if he meets a strong battling CB he is completely negated from the game. We don't and we are staring at a wandering Reza, a stroppy Watt or unproven strikers in that of KAG/Lookman.

We have a coach who is 2 losses from 2, up against a coach who is 3 losses in 19 and is taking to the English managing role like a duck to water, he puts his research in to face the opponents and outdoes them - clear to see from their wins to nil vs Newcastle & Arsenal. We should be in touching distance of Wednesday in terms of personnel, results, everything; right now we are leagues below.
  • Can't see anything other than nil points, and a long trip home.
  • This must be what being a goldfish is like but not as much fun. Swimming around the sunken castle, oh this looks nice. Swim past the rocks, oh this looks nice. Swim past the castle, hey not been here before.........

Going down. Hammered before half time and I don't mean me......
  • People saying Watt isn't fit, didn't Henderson and JBG say at Bromley that he is definitely fit???

I think he is a luxury player who only thrives when the team are doing well. When things aren't so good and it's backs against the wall he goes missing/isn't interested.

If we weren't so short on options I would say leave him out of the match day squad until he wants it again.
  • Going out of blind loyalty and to protest.

I am not sure I even feel like supporting the players once in side, but I know I will.

We need to let the Belgians know how we feel, but lets keep it clean. Wit and humor is far more effective than abuse.

Oh the match, probably a defeat, but as some else said all things, good and bad, come to an end some time.

1-1 why not? Belgians sell up to a decent owner and we all live happily ever after.

Seems a strange time to send McAleny back to Everton as his loan would have finished on Saturday anyway, but as KF said:
“If players don’t want to do it I’m not going to use them.
“In that case we ended the contract of Conor McAleny today so it needed to give an example."

Cousins definitely out, JBG possibly out, as for Watt, come off limping, did it make any difference to his game? With the form of Weds and the fact we cannot score and the players we can put out, (will be a lot of youngsters), can only see our favourite score, lose 0-3
  • Charlton nil
  • Gutted i wont be there to see a packed away end full of an adult sized away allocation , proper maaaasive club

    0-3 to The Wednesday
  • Charlton nil

How's the tour going Jim ?

  • I thought it is kicking off at 2.30

  • I thought Charles-Cook played well on the left when we had the friendly against West ham. I think Diarra in a defensive midfield is a good idea and I would rather sarr instead of Fox in a central role in defence to replace him. But you know all of this is a waste of time if they give the ball away cheaply and fail to hit the target when they go for goal. Passing the ball and having forwards who can hold the ball like Watt and not like Reza and Karlan are the key ingredient and if this young Lookman is hungry and eager give him a go and let him make loads of mistakes and let us support him all the way ...you just never know; his hunger and agility may be better than the lightweight ineffectiveness of Reza and Karlan. Clutching at straws but isn't that how cousins and poyet got blooded when there was no-one else.
  • Forgot about the international break, hope we get our new manager in by before then so he has a while to get to know the team lol
  • Can't see anything other than nil points, and a long trip home.

Awww dont worry my lil Massive... Sheffield isnt that far ;)

    I was with you all the way there until the last line;

    It won't be our usual 0 - 3 at home......................................I'm going for 0 - 4

Not a hope in hell of us getting a result I feel.

    I'd go for:

    ------------------ Henderson ----------------
    --------- Bauer -------------- Saar ---------
    Solly ----------------------------- Bergdich
    -------------------- Diarra --------------------
    ------------ Ba --------------- Jackson ------
    Reza -------------------------------- Moussa
    ------------------- Makienok -----------------

We will score, that's something I can say, surely even we can't go 6 games without a goal?!

It's crazy to think in that team we have Henderson, Reza, Jackson, Moussa and Makienok all only recently back from injury or not match fit.

Plus Igor, Kashi, Cousins, Gudmundsson, and Ceballos all out injured, not to mention Watt looking totally unfit.

Taking that into consideration, plus the rest are basically youngsters, it only really leaves Solly with any proper English experience of a minimum of 3 years, who should be match fit, and he has got dodgy knees!

    We really are a joke.
    Easy game for Sheffield Wednesday.

4-1 loss. Makienok with the goal.

Saturday I fear would be the worst I've seen at The Valley in my lifetime. Really don't enjoy going anymore but the love for my club, not the club it is right now, is too strong.

    At least we score
  • Finally we are able to field a side Peter Garland would not only look at home in but also might be one of the fitter players
  • Prediction- 19 arrests

The reason our season has been derailed is the horrendous injury list , people want to blame anyone and anything for the reason but it's simple injuries , and Saturday once again we will be without Couisins , Kashi, Gudmunnson , Carballos and most likey Watt and with Simon Mc not yet fully match fit that's 6 key players missing again .

Bournemouth blaming injuries for there fall down the table and they have only 3 players missing long term and they got the riches of the premership

Take a drawer on Saturday our only hope with the players available, we need a bit of luck between now and end of season with injuries and get back to where we were after 5 games when with a full squad apart from Hendrson we showed what we can do and who knows without the injuries we could still have been top 10

Are you up again on Saturday by train Katrien?

The office furniture is yours, take what you want...

Always a delight to read your views. Assume Richard Rufus is innocent as well?

You keep on believing it Colin if it gets you through the day.
  • 0-3

Worst non scoring run in the history of CAFC confirmed.

    Hate losing to the Wendies.
  • this could be the heaviest home defeat on record - its going to be an absolute shocker - looking forward to the protest and letting fraye know exactly what i think of his appointment - hopefully both will help contribute to the pressure needed to get in a proper manager, a proper squad and ideally a proper chief exec
  • 3-0
Hendo will.have a stonker in goal
    Diarra will marshal the defence
Cousins and JBG will boss the midfield
    Watt will be on fire

The fight back starts Saturday. Playoff places before the end of the year.
  • Nailed on defeat . if we can keep it under 4 goals that will be a result.

    0-5

Apart from the fact that Cousins, JBG and Watt are all injured, I wholeheartedly agree.
