Reddit's Red Button

Anyone here on Reddit? If so, have you pressed the Red Button yet?

It is amazing how people always have this urge to belong to a group, give it a name/identity, and immediately consider members of other groups as threats. There are important lessons to be learned here. I think.

  • No idea what it is ?
  • I'd never even heard of Reddit until this thread. Quite clever the psychology of the human mind. Will be interesting to see if someone lets it run down if the number of players are finite. Couldn't really care about the groupings of people.

We could have something similar on CL after the General election thread of they want tribes

    What's Reddit?

    www.reddit.com

it has subreddits (pages) for just about anything you can think of, from photography, gaming, football (there's even a charlton athletic subreddit), news and politics, to mutilated penises and incest porn. But there's a downvote/upvote system, so better posts make it to the top, meaning its not a cesspit like 4chan and the discourse is a lot better.
  • Yeah I'm a Redditor. Haven't used my button push yet. Going to save it until the bitter end. Apparently people are selling 'Virgin' accounts which is utterly stupid.
