Bulot hasn't had much game time though has he... Watt has been left on the bench bar the Middlesbrough match.
Bulot had been injured, and Watt is no where near fit enough to start games regularly (or wasn't). He's not played much football so needs that sharpness.
"I think it is well documented why I stood up to what was going on."
“A couple of Belgian managers have done the same thing and it is ongoing there.
Had CP put out a statement about why he left ?
Powell has moved on, he can pick who he wants now.
Chris had to go because he was worn out from TJ and Slater, then Roland, He took a chance at Sheff united, that was his final hand. We were 24th.
Roland has what he wants now, a 100% yes man in Luzon. a 100% yes Woman in Katrien.
I'm a big Eddie Howe fan and was gutted when he Didn't come to the valley, Felt Powell and Peeters were too defensive against the weaker sides at home in the championship.
Will always wonder what could of been with a little investment in the championship. You don't achieve 101 points in any league being a crap manager.
Agree - I really feel if the cash had not been pulled with the players we was rumored to be after we would of have a great chance to go from strength to strenght.
Do you think some sections of the support will ever be able to move on from Chris Powell & Yann Kermorgant?
What will it take?
Depends what you mean by move on. I will never forget them as great Charlton legends in the same way I will never forget Curbs, Kinsella, Mendonca, Hales, Paddy Powell and Peacock.
To the names of Powell, Dyer, Peeters you could of course add from Liege Mircea Rednic the coach credited with rebuilding the Liege side who departed with the words "I refused to be a puppet". It is the side which Luzon achieved some modest success last season.
We can now add the name of Ivan Vukomanovic, the head coach who has just been replaced by Riga.
Vukomanovic as head coach picked up the debris left by Luzon and had secured 13 out of 15 points from his last 5 games at the club.
As part of his puzzlement at being fired as the Head Coach (Liege did offer him his old job as the No 2) he commented "that without him Alexander Scholz (a recent signing from Lokeren) today would be an Anderlecht player and
management has thought to put aside Mujangi Bia to force him (the player) to accept a transfer offer to Turkey.
In other words because the player had refused a transfer to a Turkish club the club executive (allegedly) wanted him dropped from the side. Nice people
Regardless of what people thought of Powell he got us out of League One in his first full season. The cash was pulled when we got the the Championship, but think how bad it would have been if it had been pulled whilst we were still in League One. Who knows where the hell we'd be now. I'm grateful for that at least.
I'm glad he's moved on, and I'm glad he is not here having to take RD's and KM's bullshit. I'll give him a clap and a cheer when he comes back but I will be hoping his team loses. I think he has a good career ahead of him as a manager, in just a few seasons he has done pretty well overall. Good luck to him, but he is gone and we must look forward not backwards.
Bulot hasn't had much game time though has he... Watt has been left on the bench bar the Middlesbrough match.
Yes, let's include Watt who's only just joined and Bulot who's gone AWOL. Let's completely ignore the game time of Buyens (who's been awful for months now), and Tucudean (who was just plain awful). Let's ignore Thuram, Nego and Reza last season. Let's ignore claims from Dyer, Alnwick, Powell and Peeters that Duchatelet pressure managers to play certain players. That's before we even get started on appointing his yes man who does what's he told.
Do you think some sections of the support will ever be able to move on from Chris Powell & Yann Kermorgant?
What will it take?
For us to have a manager in charge who is there on merit.
What merit did Lawrence, Curbishley or Powell have as a manager when they were appointed?
Not really old enough to comment on Lawrence as was very young when he was appointed.
Curbs i believe was already doing coaching with youngsters at the club and would have shown enough to the board at the time that he was worth considering.
Powell had been coaching at Leicester and was very well thought off. Powell was know to Reg and he knew that CP was exactly what we needed at that time.
If you really think Luzon is here on merit nothing i will say will change your mind on that.

Replace them both with equal or better.
Currently I'd say we have neither.
That one of many reasons why I am struggling with CAFC at the mo.

People seemed to have "moved on" with Riga in charge and a team fighting for every point and playing for the shirt.
