Based on Solly not being able to play due to knees, otherwise I'd play him instead of Gomez

Played our best 45 of the season with 3 at the back the other day. Has to be tempting.

I wouldn't start 3 at the back and I doubt Bob will either.


He'll go at the very least flat back 4.

And probably set up to match Ipswich in midfield.


If we're chasing the game midway through the 2nd half - then he might very well change to 3-5-2 as Plan B.

As @Tutt-Tutt alluded to elsewhere, it's one thing going three at the back for a 30 minute bombardment of the opposition's goal but sustaining that at arguably the strongest team in the division from the start is risky, bordering on foolish.

Agree three at the back won't work against this team.. but right to use in the second half if we're a goal down...

Solly must go to LB and play Gomez RB,
After Friday George must play, let's hope he can have his 1st decent away performance.
Onyewu will be exposed down the wing if plays in same position as Boxing day.
Keep Onyewu for cover or wait till wiggins is fit and play 3-5-2 with 3 cb's and the 2 wing backs in the 5 midfield.
