According to the stats Millwall had 6 shots on target to our 5 and apart from the Tuc chance I don't think that we looked like scoring. For me the first half was even. Second half we had a better first 20 but Millwall finished more strongly overall. And unless we strengthen in January I don't believe that they'll be much between the 2 clubs at the end of the season. We'll see though.
Just don't get the 'all Millwall are scum' attitude from other posters (edit). For me we're 2 mediocre South London clubs that have fallen behind Palace. Yes, because of Millwall's history they've got a greater percentage of idiots. But we've got ours too.
So for instance, which club had supporters convicted for offensive Stephen Lawrence connected chanting not that long ago? And the comments on Charlton Life about what they did wasn't universally critical from memory.
From my seat in Upper West I see Charlton fans around me that shout foul abuse irrespective of whether there are kids around or not. And what about the puerile 'Adams family' chant? In contrast I know some Millwall fans that are throughly decent human beings.
I still find the Jeremy Kyle chant funny though....!

At no point did I personally refer to them as scum so I've got absolutely no idea why you're making reference to Stephen Lawrence chants whilst quoting a post about yesterday's match...
I also acknowledged that we didn't do enough to beat them but don't perceive that to be a reflection of where we'll end up. I take into account the 17 previous games also, in which we have lost only twice and are the only side in the division to still be unbeaten at home.
For those reasons, I remain confident that we'll comfortably finish ahead of them.

I was sitting almost level with the halfway line, so more or less bang in between the away end and your singing end and can honestly say that although Charlton did more actual singing, when Millwall did bother they was louder. Quite a lot louder at times. My honest take on it.

Thought it was summed up well in an earlier post. These days 49 out of 50 Millwall fans are average normal blokes pretending to be a Sarf London Faces ! This is even more obvious when they play us. Game, over back to the wife and sat night bingo and get the cab clean for Sunday.
Didn't see to many that scared me, 35 years ago, they earned the reputation, these days these tossers, are still trying to live off it.
That was a quiet full south stand. Charlton supporters outsung millwall throughout. The millwall drone song they did was drowned out by the North Stand. At the final whistle, the Millwall supporters had a song but that was about it. Pity George T missed the final chance as the Valley would have gone mental. No bother going in. Millwall were held back and let out in smaller clumps after the match. This may have had something to do with the trains being delayed for 20 mins. The OB handled the crowd dispersal a lot better than last year.
The Millwall "drone song" is called the Monks Chant.... If you're close enough or in amongst it, that will make your ears ring.

I wasn't in your 'end'. I was in the exec seats, and I don't mean the ones where the people go who are getting treated to a once in a (shit) lifetime treat by their ugly wife's, for their birthdays or something, but the proper executive seats, which is a fairly neutral area in most grounds. We had Millwall board members in our bit. Should they not be in there because it's 'your end'? Fucking idiot.
Not amazing to think that I walked past another 'lifer' without realising (I'm sure that happens on a regular basis at Charlton games). But to think I walked past where 'MillwallFan' was sat.
