TBH can also play right back. So with solly and Gomez the right back position is well covered. Gudmondsson bulot and cousins can more than cover the right wing position. Freeing up wages on a player that can go for free makes sense. I'm sure the coq can play in both positions too. If it's good for lawrie and big bob then it's got to be good for the club. Bob will have something up his sleeve I'm sure.
People probably said this when Morro went on loan...
And I still think that was mental.
Wilson is the most versatile player in our squad IMO. Has the sort of ability where you could play him at full back or anywhere across the midfield if need be.
He might not start every game but he is a fantastic game changer.
Lawrie has started 6 Championship game with a total of 538 minutes and has come on as sub 7 times with 208 minutes on the pitch, he has been an unused sub 4 times.
His average mark is 6.41 with his highest 7.45 at Norwich and lowest 5.30 at Fulham.
Blimey the whingers will be scrapping around soon. This would be ridiculous as is the Morrison loan. How have Birmingham done since Morro went there ?
Since Morro went to Birmingham they kept a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw v Wolves and then won 2-1. As they had lost their previous game 8-0 it is reasonable to assume he has made a difference.

Well spotted. So you agree.
It's more likely something to do with the new manager. No doubting that Morrison is a good player though
II don't know if Bulot is, or is going to be, any good. So far he strikes me as similar to Reza except he stays on his feet more, and points less. Obviously I know more about Lawrie, and although he is not a star player, or even a talismanic player, I believe he is the type of player you need to bring balance and versatility to a thin squad. Right now I simply don't see the resources at Charlton to justify letting him out on loan to anybody. The FFP rules may well now impact on any anticipated January spend, and I wonder how close to the wind we will continue to sail. The positives with regard to filling out the squad are youngsters such as KAG and Gomez, but young players can be inconsistent, and naïve on occasion too whilst they learn the game, and having a player around with a bit of experience can help the cause. Of course if Mr Duchatelet is going to go on a spending spree the landscape will change, but if Big Bob lets Lawrie go somewhere I can only hope he knows what he is doing, and the results will be the measure.
