  • Just spoke to my mate who I'm going to the game with, he has arranged to meet up with another mate (who's not going to the game) at a new pub in Woolwich in the old Equitable building...anyone been in there before?

    Quite impressed with it on Saturday....nice beer to and brewed in Woolwich as well.

    Wow.
    I remember opening my first bank account in the Equitable building as a kid.
    Ironic that I'll most likely end up emptying my bank account in there tomorrow.


    Wasn't to busy, saw a few Charlton in there but no Millwall.

  • Fair play to the Oak on Saturday, felt the closest to 'the good old days' in there before and after the game than it has for a very long time.
  • I thought the Lib was half decent, the food they put on for before the game (sausage and bacon rolls) was good......it just lacked a bit of atmosphere, some lads did try and get a chant going but it didn't follow through the pub really.

    Was in there from 2 till 2.30, a couple of nice 1/2's best pub within walking distance of the ground in my opinion.

    The new landlord has turned the Oak back to how it used to be. Enjoy going back in there now after the years of previous clowns running the pub after Ray and Penny left.
