  • Cant think an occasion when its been any significant length of time at all. Remember having something on the day we drew 2-2 with derby away im about 2001ish and actively avoiding the score so we could watch it on sky. Even that was only about 2hours. Lay in bed at about 9am in california when on hol last year following the leicester home game on here via wifi.

I really cant think that in the last 15 plus years theres been an occasion longer than an hour when i havent known.

Last time it would potentially have been any length of time would be when on family holidays abroad pre internet in the mid 90s when it wouldve been via an english paper or ringing home the next day from a call box.
  • 1998 and on route to the play-off final, was in Mexico for almost 4 weeks and didn't hear a single result, couldn't believe it when I got home and found out that we had won all 6 games while we were away and if i remember rightly we didn't concede a single goal.

Won't forget that in a hurry, it was my 40th.
  • Two days....flew to Trinidad on the morning of the Newcastle (Kevin Keegan game) in 1984 and couldn't get the result until it finally filtered through in a newspaper. Lost 1-3 (Dowman).

A couple of years later, couldn't get a ticket for the train to Newcastle...despite getting to Kings X on time etc. So went to Fulham v Mansfield and had beers after before we managed to buy an early Sunday paper at Paddington to read that we'd won 2-0 (Robert Lee 2). So, about 6 hours for that one.
  • Following Razil's shock revelation he didn't find out the score from last night until this morning, a full 9hrs after the result.....

I honestly can't remember not knowing the final score of one our games in anything beyond 'a few minutes', particularly in the last ten years with the advances in technology.

When was the last time you went a a fair while not knowing the result and, or any related tales of 'not knowing the score'

I didn't know our score until 11.30am yesterday! Had avoided it then forgot!
