the only people interested in the take over are HMRC---us mugs the fans---or the poor bastards owed money for work done.
Your only choice you bunch of useless c++ts that are running our football club into the ground is a loss or a mega fecking loss-----------------is that clear loose ALL your money
Not exactly evidence but SCP did let slip in his post match interview with BBC Radio London that things were going on in the background re ownership of the club, but that he was trying not to be distracted by it. Maybe there are more than one interested parties.
I thought that the Thursday date by SotonAddick for going into administration was interesting, it's the same day my companies wages leave the bank to go to all the employees?
I do not believe that anyone in their right mind would throw away the opportunity to sell the club and at least make some of their losses back. Let's hope it all resolved to everyone's satisfaction ASAP, going into administration would be the most bazaar thing I could think of.
No I am not in the know, I do not know anyone whose works for the club, it's just an observation.
Apparently one of the other "interested parties" is a renegade member of the North Korean ruling elite. But he's suddenly gone all quiet. I hope he's alright!

Admin = 10 point deduction = 9 points away from safety = pretty much guaranteed relegation.
Ironically the money that would be free up, and the spending spree that the new owners could go on, could make that nine points deficit disappear quite quickly.

Pretty unlikely that we will a) go into administration b) have an administrator appointed c) administrator goes through the admin process to gain a real understanding of our assets and liabilities d)invites offers for the business e) selects a preferred bidder f) preferred bidder takes on the club

I'm not saying I think admin is likely but you'd be surprised how quickly your steps a to f can be if there is a determination to make something happen.
I have no idea what if anything is going on behind the scenes but what I do know is that unless a significant amount of money is made available to strengthen the team by either the current or new owners in early ish January then we will be relegated.
G) preferred bidder manages to persuade 6 very strong players to join the club at the bottom of the league cut adrift from all of the others without just buying up some past it mercenaries instead. H) powell gets them all gelling immedately for our push to safety.

That could quite easily mean 'failed takeovers are going on in the background' I guess.
I am not ITK on this, but I believe the admin rumours are both B'shit, and also tremendously unhelpful to the club. I repeat, all that is known in public is that the Americans, according to the Mail, are 'poised to' pull out. Even if they have done, why does everyone assume it is the only bid game in town, just because it is the only one known to the Mail and Toby -bloody -Porter?
This There are a whole number of reasons why administration won't happen right now including a large tranche of TV money arriving in January.

I think that's probably right - except that it assumes the financial situation is under control.
As set out in detail in VOTV108, the club's best cash-flow periods / lowest external funding requirement are January (Sky money) and April (season tickets). They also get TV money in August, but with no matches over the summer there is a substantial call on that. We also have a run of home games - Derby, Brighton, Sheff Wed and Barnsley - coming up which ought to average £50-£75k in net ticket receipts plus a bit of ancillary revenue. The FA Cup game will be marginal either way.
However, for whatever reason the club didn't have the money in place to pay the wages through BACS last month (it wasn't a technical hitch or staff error). They will need to pay or have paid HMRC. IMO either Cash or Murray will stump up as necessary to get to January as they would be mad not to do so, but if that isn't possible then someone like HMRC could pull the plug regardless.
Should the current ownership continue, the next thing to watch is season tickets for 2014/15 being sold earlier than usual. I haven't heard this suggested, but I understand some supporters have already been told by senior management that a further price hike is planned. I wouldn't imagine that is likely to be a successful combination if attempted, but it may be an attractive option to some.
May be unrelated and I apologise for clogging up the take-over thread, but there seemed very little on offer at half-time yesterday in the North Upper. The bar/kiosk at the far end (towards the East) was closed (first time i have seen that) little choice on food at our nearest one open (thankfully, although my nephew did get a hot dog (that looked like it could still bark)) and no Bovril.
I asked the young girl serving what was happening and she said they just had no stock (I'm pretty sure that wasn't a pun).

Airman, I bought the latest VOTV yesterday. Excellent read as per usual. Quite worrying that TJ is gambling with coaching and playing staff contracts. What amazed me the most is the suggestion that contracts can be renegotatied on promotion (!!) to the Premier League. What planet is that man on?! How the hell are we ever going to achieve promotion when he's trimming the squad, not replacing players and creating uncertainty around the club.
On the TV money and run of home games coming up, how likely do you think it is that that money could be used to renew any contracts?

New owners will be subject to the financial fair play rules just like the current owners. I'm not sure just how much more we can spend under the rules becuase our revenue is pitiful.

I'm sure that we are close to a couple of million being able to be spent. Someone with better knowledge will correct me.

New owners can inject £5m as equity this season in addition to the allowable losses of £3m - and £3m in equity in future seasons - and still stay within FFP.

Cash-flow problems?
It was very strange that the bar at the far end wasn't open.
