Old Matchday Programmes available - free to a good home

I'm moving house and need to get rid of some old programmes, about a hundred in all, dating from 2000 - 2007. Also a few VOTV and Goodbye Horse from that era. PLUS a few yearbooks. Added bonus is a merchandising catalogue from 2002/3 I think, was that the year most of them ended up on the pitch against Leicester? If so this may be a rarity:-)
Anyway, these are free to the first person who PMs me that they want them an is willing to collect from Barnehurst. I'll give it a week and if no interest, they'll be binne.

  • Sorry robbo, i would be most gratefull if i may aquire your most treasured. Better?
  • chaps - gone to good home
  • You're mad to give them away. A selection of programmes from the 1970's just sold at Sotheby's. You're giving away the premiership years?

"Charlton Athletic in the 1970s: an extensive collection of home and away programmes, seasons 1970-71 to 1979-80, first-team homes & aways but with content including reserves, Youth, friendlies and specials (a qty.) "

Estimated 250-350 and sold for 1,000
  • Not a like for like comparison.

That 70s collection is much older and is most likely 500 programmes (50 x 10 seasons) plus friendlies, youth etc so £2 each.

More recent worth a lot less as a lot more produced and more people kept them.
  • You dont think in 30 years time they will be worth something? Especially if we never make it back to the prem?

  • Generally 70's progs would go for around the same as general premiership era progs. I did not see the list of programmes involved but reserves, youth and special issues (Friendlies etc.) would have made it more appetising to someone.

Maybe but then he'd have to store them for 30 years.

  • In the current market programmes do not really appreciate vastly until you get to the 50's stuff. But there are always a few rare ones from most seasons.
  • Like chuch-lane I am also moving home and need to get rid of an amount of old Charlton programmes, just over 450, dating from 1974 upto 2012. Also many old VOTVs, and four videos: Charlton Ath 1988/89, Classic Collection The70s, Goal Rush 100 Great Charlton Goals, Raise the Roof 2000/2001. All of the above free to a good home, to the first person that PMs me? (Never done this before, so not sure how this works) and can collect from me in Northumbrland Heath, on or before the15th November 2013, (next friday). Thanks
